I love the books, games, and movies but the books have the most in them. Currently reading the Sorcerer's Stone again for the first time in years. I forgot all of the little details that aren't ever brought up in the movie.

The Hobbit was intended to be a children's book......it got serious when J.R.R. Tolkien wrote the LOTRs.

They had to leave out a ton of information to make the films, which is why the films often felt like a lot was missing.
