You missed the true depravity that the philosophy of racial essentialism entails. If he is white and left, he is also a white supremist, that is the whole point. You are a racist by virtue of your skin color. It is a religious tenant and rooted deeply in the idea of original sin. Racism is the original sin - one that we are all universally guilty of and must atone for.

What gives absolution is not shedding your racism, it is EMBRACING IT as a integral part of your being and being 'sorry' for it. And you must show your faith through public displays of acceptance of that guilt.

The depravity is FAR worse than you imagine it is.
