Milton Street used agitation and inspiration to launch a groundswell of housing and racial justice activism in the 1970s/80s. He fought gentrification while striving to keep Black communities intact, imprinting his legacy on Philly forever

Milton was a racist...OK!

Sorry bout that,

1. Sad day for his family, here in Texas he was never on our radar.
2. May he rest in peace, but if he was a liberal, he chose death rather than life for the innocent, I'm not sure if he can walk that back once your dead.
3. I'm not a judge in that matter.

Regards,

"Famously" never heard of the guy

Never heard of him. So I spent a few minutes and did a Google search. Glancing at the returned headings of articles was he the guy that received millions in Philly government consulting contracts but also tossed in the slammer for not filing income taxes? Not sure this pertains to him, but through the years I've read about too many of these urban community leaders that seem to have a "let them eat cake" attitude while lining their own pockets. Either way, may he rest in peace.
