For those of old enough to remember the Harlem Globetrotters. I know they are still doing their thing, but I am talking about the real Harlem Globetrotters.

Yes
RIP big guy.
I loved him he was a very good man and excellent in anything and everything that he did.

Indeed----if not for meadowlark------I WOULD NEVER HAVE WATCHED a basketball game on TV--------way back then or since. I was amazed at generally clueless me. I am MOST OF THE TIME clueless on celebrities everyone else seems to know
INTIMATELY---------when I heard the name MEADOWLARK on the news -----
I JUMPED!!!! -----not as high as he did and-------I could never accomplish a "hook"
basket thing

I got to see him several times. The team is not what it was then. Good, and fun, but not comparable to what it was.

are you saying that my youth happened a LONG LONG TIME AGO? I loved the
theme song whistle

I saw the Harlem Globetrotters at Madison Square Garden when Lemon was a young player.

Their theme. Sweet Georgia Brown is racist today.

Meadowlark was a class act and one hell of a basketball player.

RIP
