Actor Brian Dennehy has passed away at age 81 though not a household name he was a very talented actor who starred in a lot of movies, TV shows and plays he was probably best known for playing the sheriff in First Blood.

I thought he was terribly miscast as Bobby Knight in ESPN’s Season on the Brink.

He played good guy, so-what guy, bad guy. You were always entertained when Brian Dennehy was in the cast. 'Nuff said. Good job, Brian. You took people's minds off their troubles and made each role you played a benefit to other people, in one way or another. RIP, with love and appreciation.
