Riots in the streets of Istanbul as dictator implements Muslim law.

The philosophy of "Islam will dominate the world" is the private agenda of Muslims in the United States. Fellow Americans please watch this story unfold.

Here are today's headlines on the story of the Turkish dictator trying to force his Muslim ideas on the people, and causing riots. This has become pretty common stuff in the middle east.

Turkey PM Erdogan lashes out over protests, asks "what is the message"? - CBS News

Where will the Muslims push their agenda with violence next?

Istanbul riots. Thousands take to the streets to halt Muslim law in Turkey.

Next on the Muslim agenda, the United States.

"Turkey is seeing its biggest wave of protests against the ruling government in many years. Tens of thousands of people rallied across the country Sunday for a third consecutive day of mass demonstrations.

"The unrest erupted last week when thousands of people converged at Istanbul’s Taksim Square, a public space reportedly set for demolition. The protests have grown to include grievances against the government on a range of issues, and protesters have managed to remain despite a heavy police crackdown, including tear gas and rubber bullets.

"The Turkish government says around 1,000 people have been detained at more than 200 protests nationwide. Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan has dismissed the uproar as the work of political opponents and "extremists," vowing to proceed with governments plans to remake Taksim Square. "I cannot tell you how empowering this is," says Turkish scholar and activist Nazan Ustundag. 'This is a country known for [police] brutality and for the Turkish people’s unquestioned loyalty to the state. So it’s very exciting all these different sections of people [are] standing [up for] the last public space which wasn’t given to private interests.'"

My research indicates that what you say is correct. Sometimes the problem with a message board is viewers think you are baiting or flaming, (and I do have some reputation for getting pissed off, and doing just that).

In this case the facts speak for themselves which is why I keep posting utubes from CBS News as this situation in Istanbul expands.

My concern is that Turkey, like Egypt and some other middle east countries have democratically elected leaders who are Muslim, and turn into dictators implementing Muslim law. What is the United States to do? Intervene in the internal events of these nations? I think we have seen enough of that.

What I think we need to learn from this is the Muslim agenda is to take control of a country, and implement their backward thinking. I believe the United States is on their agenda, and few here are concerned about it.

Yes, I am downshifting my posting to stick closer to the facts, but I think members here are oblivious to a real threat from a group of people who have already killed thousands of Americans with terrorist acts.

Does this mean that Turkey has an Islamist Government?

A couple of comments:

1.) I don't see how you could call Erdogen a dictator since his party was elected into office with the popular vote.

2.) Those pictures of yours are not from Turkey, they aren't even of Turkish ethnicity, they are from a small protest in England that happened years ago.

It means the present dick tater is trying to impose Sharia law on a secular government.

The people of Turkey have long voted into power more conservative governments. It has generally been the military that has restricted how religiously conservative the government can become, not the people.

Istanbul, Turkey riots continue to dominate the news. Here is the CBS report.

Turkey violence rages into 4th day after police crackdown on environmental protest - CBS News

"...........But thousands of Turks have become increasingly angry at Erdogan for what the nation's less-conservative and secular citizens see as moves to foist his conservative brand of Islam on the country.

Williams says many Turks feel Erdogan has been conducting himself more like a dictator than the democratically elected leader of a major country on the edge of Europe.

Erdogan, reports Williams, has made it clear he has no intentions of changing his policies."

What I want to know is this part of the agenda of CAIR, scheduled one day for the United States? Looks like a real threat to me. Apparently, Muslims are dedicated to creating a Muslim planet. I HOPE this is an overstatement on my part. Actions speak louder than words, just look to Turkey and Egypt.

No matter what they say, CAIR is not a Muslim version of the NAACP.

You need to learn how to use your computer and Google Images. When a news story is breaking, photos are not always quick to surface. So, when I Google, "Istanbul riots" a variety of photos are offered. In addition the web page for each photo is also available. So I can read the story of the picture if I wish. I look for pictures that visually relate the story I am reporting. It is much like writing a zinger headline on a newspaper story. This is standard journalism bravado. I stand by my pics.

When I post a utube of a news story, (in this case from CBS), this must be related precisely as the story was presented on the news. These are the facts viewers will use to make their opinions. In this case the utubes are my CBS source, (though often a written version accompanies the utube).

You sound like a guy trying to distract from the truth of this thread. I suggest you review the three utubes in posts 1, 2, and 11, and then retract your inaccurate remarks. All three CBS utubes point out that while the Prime Minister was duly elected, he is being called a "dictator" because of the manner in which he is forcing Muslim law on people of all religions in Turkey. From my experience in researching, this is "typical Muslim" behavior, and happens frequently in any number of countries.

I trust this is now clear to you, Mr. Jihad.

Translation: "I don't give a shit if the picture is even relevant, dammit I'm going to go on with my agenda of demonizing an entire religion with pictorial red herrings because figuring out these dynamics is just too hard on my tiny little brain".

Cram your "standard journalism bravado" up your ass. It's bullshit.

Were you not so blinded by your notorious pigheaded ignorance, you might notice that what's going on is in effect the opposite-- here is a country firmly dedicated to secular government, free from the influence of Islam, that wants to keep it that way. And that what we're seeing is not creeping Islam at all but the people resisting a right wing drift.

Some of what's driving the violence in Turkey today started five decades ago and has more to do with class war than with Islam, IMHO:

"For almost thirty years Turkish capitalism has taken the form of neoliberalism. TurkeyÂ’s subordination to the world neoliberal order started in the late 1970s and was pursued consistently after the 1980 military coup.

"The coup reflected HayekÂ’s contention that a transition to 'free markets' may require a dictatorship.1

"By dissolving political and social opposition, the coup provided the necessary political environment for the shift from the import substitution industrialization that framed economic policy since the 1960s to an export-oriented economics.

"During the interim regime (1980–83), Turkey experienced a fierce process of depoliticization, which limited the opportunities for an effective opposition against the launch of neoliberal policies.

"All segments of the labor movement that had made political gains in the preceding decade were banned from politics and the majority of prominent activists were imprisoned.

"The general elections held in 1983 were a farce.

"The military rulers banned all political parties that had organic links to pre-coup political organizations and that were in opposition to the coup and the interim regime, and allowed only three political parties to participate."

Maybe some capitalists fear democracy as much as some Imams?

Where on earth would you get an idea like that? From Belchboy, that paragon of world politics? (/sarc)

The protest started over plans to turn a park near Taksim Square into a Shopping Mall.

But never let facts get in the way of bashing a religion you don't like.

Usually when protests start in an Islamic country, is because they want more Islamic laws.

How long was it before people realized that the uprising in Syria wasn't really the people throwing off an oppressive dictator, but agitated and joined by terrorists like Al Quaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood?

Everyone who looks at this is going to read into it whatever they want. It's class warfare. It's a secular people (which isn't true Turkey is 98% muslim) protesting Islamic rule. It's muslims fighting secularization of a muslim culture.

The small protest by a group of a few environmentalists, was enough to provide an opening to agitate by the same kind of Islamic forces that did the same thing in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and Syria. In every case, a relatively moderate government was deposed and replaced by Islamic fundamentalists.
