RFK Jr Wants To Ban Pharmaceutical Ads On TV

Big pharma makes television ads for one reason... to wrap the media around its finger.... and make them report what they want them to report...

I completely support this. The American public gets enough pHARMa crammed down their throats without being indoctrinated by their TV's to walk into the "doctor's" office and demand the drug they want because they thought the ad was full of well-dressed, smiling people who were ostensibly "cured".

GO BOBBY!

My dad was a doctor and hated when prescription drug advertising became legal. It went from him making the decision of what was best for his patients to patients demanding some drug they saw advertised, sometimes even if they didn't have what the drug treated.

Today, we're all about the magic pill. No one wants to change their lifestyle to lessen or remove harmful influences on their bodies, they want a pill to do it all for them. My wife is a pharmacy tech and had a patient yelling at her on the phone because her BMI was too low for the insurance company to cover the latest GLP1. She literally complained that she would have to gain weight so she could get the magic weight loss drug so she could lose weight.

.

That would drive me a little nuts. Even though I believe that my dying husband benefited a great deal from the use of medical cannabis, I really believe that there is no justification for advertising it. When we went to get him qualified for MMJ, it was a joke. Five people in an office at one time, with a doctor spending a minute or two asking each one about their symptoms, and then five certifications granted!

This is why I am against medical marijuana, even though it can greatly benefit those with certain conditions. The problem is, there really is no such thing as "medical marijuana". Once you open that door it automatically becomes recreational marijuana, available to anyone who wants it. Totally amazing how many young kids going to college have so many back pain problems. The poor things. If they can figure out a way to stop the 5/5 thing you mentioned, I'm all in for true medical marijuana. It's a shame it is 100% abused.

The lights are finally blinking on in the heads of the 'stupid. Here's their instructions for this topic

Communism must not be permitted to take away the rights of pharma corporations to advertize to the flock!

WTF could the magas have been thinking?

Well, I'd agree that the SC's holding that corporations have free speech rights was .... absurd, and is having absurd results even now.

If the idiot consumers would listen to the damned TV ad, it clearly states that that magic pill can kill you. How this gets by them I'll never know.

You probably are 100% correct. I just never witnessed this because I had very limited exposure to the kind of people doing the abuse. We never had any stoner friends and I only ever spent enough time in the dispensary to pick up my husband's product.

I do remember a relationship I had in the 70's with a stoner and it was nothing but negative.

You're making up a word salad fantasy in your mind that this is a MAGA thing.

Your reason for opposing medical marijuana is at least partly socially responsible.

Curtailing the right of pharma corps to advertize is 'pure' socialism.

Now no one in the Trump administration should talk to Goldberg about anything or anyone ever again... take him out of the loop and his stupid fake newspaper...

No, it's a Kennedy thing on behalf of Trump's Magas.

Forget it, it can never happen.

It can only plant a seed in the heads of the stupid!

Fox News gets half of its advertising revenue from pharmaceutical companies advertising prescription drugs. This change would not be good for the MAGA community.

Now that's socially responsible reform!

Something the magas will gladly take up their as-es willingly because they don't understand that it's social reform!

Wiser Americans (the very wealthy) will recognize it immediately as being a huge threat to the 'American way'.

Shhhhhh! Don't anybody tell Trump.
You’re so badly broken

Hopefully they will allow ads for weed and schrooms instead
