We have plenty of fresh drinkable water in Portland, Oregon. Some of the best and purist in the world. Portland is a beautiful city, and, like every other city in America, has it's problems. When it is economically feasible to desalinate water, it will be done. However, at present, that is not the case.Yep, typical short sighted OR thinking--hows that defund the police working for you. Back on topic, your narrator keeps talking about LA while showing pics of Folsom Lake in CA, Lake Mead in NV, and pipelines in AK, c'mon man. We have exploded the population. There is no fresh water available due to population. A more logical and economical solution would be desalinating the ocean water for cities like San Diego, LA, SF, Portland, Seattle, NYC or any other large metropolitan area on a coast. All of these places steal water from watersheds hundreds of miles from where they are. Take the blinders off and quit parroting the alarmist bullshit that is intent on destroying society. Moron.
And you figure it is cheaper to steal water from places that have to places that don't? Good night, not worth the effort. We have plenty of fresh drinkable water in Portland, Oregon.
