Once you become part of trumpworld things change. Positions you took in the not so distant past are easily reversed when the regime you're part of does something you previously opposed. "Direct attacks on states' rights" all of a sudden are not. As if by magic. Cuz the sovereignty of a blue state that did not vote for trump is not be be respected. So say the defenders of all things trump.

Guess what else is not to be respected. The right to protest. Especially if it's against a $340M military parade on Don's birthday. The kind autocrats have for themselves.

Trump warns that military parade protesters will face 'very heavy force'

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump warned Tuesday that anyone who protests at the U.S. military parade here on Saturday will be met with "very heavy force."

Trump told reporters in the Oval Office that they're going to be "celebrating big on Saturday," referring to the parade that will wind its way through downtown Washington, D.C.

"If there’s any protester that wants to come out, they will be met with very big force," Trump said. "I haven’t even heard about a protest, but you know, this is people that hate our country, but they will be met with very heavy force."

The right to peacefully protest is protected by the 1st A. But in Don's view, such protections should only be afforded to those who he sees as being on his side. He conflates disdain for him with hatred of the country. The two are miles apart. He forgets he is only a temporary steward of this nation. One can simultaneously love this country while recognizing the uniquely existential threat he poses to it.

Here's hoping thousands of protesters show up in DC on Saturday. They are allowed to yell, and carry signs, and express their opposition to trump in ways that will anger him. If he doesn't like that, tough shit. This is still America for as long as we can hold on to it.

If democrats or anarchists show up on Saturday to protest the US Military, I hope they are carted off to prison like the J6 guys were.

Democrats are toxic and getting more toxic every month.

You might recall another time when Democrats attacked federal officers and claimed “state’s rights”.

Or, you might not remember as you tore down all your statues and canceled all your flags.

I really don't like using the "F" word because it is such a loaded word. But what you wrote is the hallmark of fascism. I do hope you recognize that.

Here's a brief quiz. What party did Lincoln belong to?

Thanks for pointing out the complete reversal of his position.

In the ABC News clip, Trump tells George Stephanopoulos, “We have to go by the laws. We can’t move in the National Guard. I can call insurrection but there’s no reason to ever do that, even in a Portland case,” referring to the then-current Portland, Oregon protests over the murder of George Floyd.

‘We can’t call in the National Guard unless we’re requested by a governor,” Trump said at the time.

In fact, Lincoln, the man who sent federal troops to defeat those who attacked the federal officers, was a Republican.

Once you ALLOW criminal illegal aliens quarter in your "SANCTUARY" State or city, you are running afoul of the Constitution of the United States of America.
You openly violate the rights of AMERICAN CITIZENS in doing such, and the Federal government has a RESPONSIBILITY to uphold the LAWS of this country whether you LIKE IT OR NOT.
So, go **** YOURSELF, Stalinberg. You and the rest of your COMMUNIST subversives can POUND SAND.

If -

The Insurrection Act of 1807 is the U.S. federal law that empowers the president of the United States to nationally deploy the U.S. military and to federalize the National Guard units of the individual states in specific circumstances, such as the suppression of civil disorder, of insurrection, and of armed rebellion
.

Then what do you mean about State's Rights if the president is just using an Act of law?

The Constitution grants no ability for state or local government to even determine or do anything about who is here illegally and who is not.

The LAPD wasn't forced to work with ICE and other Federal agencies, once LAPD decided to not come to their aid, Trump sent the guard to do so, as allowed by Title 10.

Nice man of straw you have there.

You must have a rather large warehouse to keep all of these.

Funny how when someone does this they can't actually express where I am wrong. Just stupid insults.
