republicans have the perfect reason to bypass the Filibuster and pass the Safe Act that requires ID to vote... what is that reason ? over 70% of the American people support voter ID requirements ! in other words Dems are willing to spit on the will of the people and block legislation that the vast vast majority of Americans want ! if that's the case then republicans are not only politically justified to end the Filibuster and pass the Safe Act into law ... they are obligated to use the Nuclear Option ! the government operates at the behest of the American people ! not at the behest of democrats !

Yep, democrats don't represent the country, they represent their base.

What about federal voting machines? It could easily nullify ANY election and it would be untraceable or reversible.

The Dem's open and overt racism on the Save Act has to be a top issue in the midterms

The problem is that it is unconstitutional. States conduct elections not the federal government. Republicans wanted to gut the Voting Rights Act and the Supreme Court has largely done that. Now Republicans want to impose national standards. The hypocrisy of it. This whole thing needs to be defeated. This is a voter suppression bill. Republicans know they are going to lose so they are engaging in voter suppression.

If illegals aren’t voting and identifying oneself is already a precedent.. this shouldn’t be an issue . Right?

The Democrats can pound Republicans on affordability. Guess who wins. Democrats.
Affordability.. like liberal initiatives like renewable energy (which has created extreme energy prices), welcoming illegals (which has driven up housing costs), providing lending options for education (through the roof),and healthcare (with extreme regulations that makes 3rd party providers untenable)?

Government interference = higher costs

How come Kumalot couldn't win a single state with a voter ID law?

Look, Bozo, voting is a federal right of suffrage as extended by the 15th Amendment conferred upon CITIZENS. If a state tried to include people not even of this country to have a say in the country, that would be worse than hiring several Ford chairmen to also sit on the board of directors for Chevrolet.

It would invite foreign countries to send in thousands and millions of non-citizens to vote in favor of, say, legislature favorable toward that country. It would invite in an inherently flawed system.

More of the lefts certainty that minorities are to stupid and or poor to obtain ID. Voter ID is not suppression. Alabama and Georgia proved this with record turn outs.

States control voting

Okay

Alabama can control that only Caucasians qualify to vote.

so the dozens states that require some form of id to vote are suppressing the vote eh ? and it IS in the power of Congress to insure that only CITIZENS vote in national elections ! requiring an id isn't infringing on states rights ..

That issue has quieted down some because the company with the biggest share of voting machines in use (Dominion) was bought out by US interests. Conservative US interests ; - )

Bigger than Voter ID is universal mail in ballots. Ripe with fraud.
