The authors, Benjamin Lee, M.D. and William V. Raszka, Jr., M.D., are both pediatric infectious disease specialists on the faculty of the University of Vermont’s Larner College of Medicine. Dr. Raszka is an associate editor of Pediatrics.

The authors of the commentary, titled “COVID-19 Transmission and Children: The Child Is Not to Blame,” base their conclusions on a new study published in the current issue of Pediatrics, “COVID-19 in Children and the Dynamics of Infection in Families,” and four other recent studies that examine Covid-19 transmission by and among children.

US infection rates are way higher than EU and France... France has a positivity rate of 1.5%... US has an average of 8+% and has states at 15+%...

Also France & Spain has not reduced it's positivity rate since schools opened while UK and Ireland (who have schools still out) are seeing drops to lower than 0.5%...

So talking to go back to school when Texas is at 17.7% or Florida is at 18% is crazy talk...

BRUSSELS — Many countries around the world are pushing ahead with plans for full-time, full-capacity, in-person classes, after having largely avoided coronavirus outbreaks linked to schools during more tentative reopenings in the spring.

From Belgium to Japan, schools are abandoning certain social distancing measures, such as alternate-day schedules or extra space between desks. They have decided that part-time or voluntary school attendance, supplemented by distance learning, is not enough — that full classrooms are preferable to leaving kids at home.

The results from a study reported in the New England Journal of Medicine show that the only reason children are being kept from school due to the China coronavirus is politics.

The New England Journal of Medicine released the results of a study on the China coronavirus that are shocking. Children have a very low risk of catching the China coronavirus.

US infection rates are way higher than EU and France... France has a positivity rate of 1.5%... US has an average of 8+% and has states at 15+%...

Also France & Spain has not reduced it's positivity rate since schools opened while UK and Ireland (who have schools still out) are seeing drops to lower than 0.5%...

So talking to go back to school when Texas is at 17.7% or Florida is at 18% is crazy talk...

And those numbers are inflated......as we are just now finding out in Florida.

But it pretty clearly came as a shock to the MSNBC host. (I am afraid that I don't watch enough MSNBC to know his name.)
