The GOP and the NRA have been creating the "gun culture" ever since the Columbine massacre. They've flooded this country with guns, by scaring stupid people into believing that the government is out to get them and is out to take their guns. Every time there's another massacre, gun sales go through the roof.
you can see from the manufacturing and import figures above that another 45 – 47 million guns have been added since then (2010 through 2013)

So the NRA and republicans are responsible for every gun murder in this country, because they promote the "gun culture".

the gun culture began in the old west and only stupid people like you believe the bullshit you just posted.....

There are roughly 30,000 gun related deaths in the US each year, with 19,000 being suicides. There are also around 120,000 physician mistake-related deaths per year. For every gun death, there are four doctor deaths.

Clearly, the AMA is responsible for all those deaths.

Oh yes. And Henry Ford is to blame for all traffic deaths. Thomas Edison is to blame for global warming. And all bullies real or imagined, are to blame for all suicides.

No...the 24/7 news cycle and hollywood who glamorize mass public shooters are too blame....

We used to have fewer gun laws and fewer mass public shootings...what has changed...the news cycle.

If anything, the NRA has saved lives due to their gun safety education...which the gun grabbers fight...they need dead people, especially dead children from gun accidents to push their anti gun agenda.....they fight to keep gun safety education out of the public schools where it would actually save lives.

Hmmm... okay, how many GOP'rs or NRA members have been arrested and prosecuted for murder?

And now for some truth, facts and reality....

Guns have one sole purpose: to place a projectile into another, causing death. They were created to win wars. If we need them for trained soldiers to stop invasions by bad guys, fine. Every cowboy in this country doesn't need five guns in the basement with which to protect his family from imaginary bad guys and government invasion.
I agree with OP to some extent: The NRA has certainly contributed to a bad situation by promoting the idea that the only way to be safe is to own more guns. They are too easy to get, designed to kill more people more quickly than any but soldiers require, and unfortunately they are becoming more and more 'popular' due to the continual NRA goading to BUY MORE.

Here you go...the truth about cars and guns...if you have a car and a gun....get rid of the car..it is more dangerous...

MADD - Drunk Driving Statistics

IN 2013, 10,076 PEOPLE DIED IN DRUNK DRIVING CRASHES - ONE EVERY 52 MINUTES - AND 290,000 WERE INJURED IN DRUNK DRIVING CRASHES.

How Many Accidental Gun Injuries per Year? - The Volokh Conspiracy

A guest on the HuffPost Live discussion noted in the post below mentioned that guns injure 5,000 people per year (presumably in the U.S.).

Actually, according to CDC’s WISQARS, there are about 14,000-19,000 nonfatal injuries stemming from accidental shootings per year in the U.S., though only about 600 people killed in such shootings.

As always, keep in mind the limitations of this data, including that some suicides and suicide attempts could be misclassified as accidents.

Accidental gun deaths 2013......505

Gun murder 2014... 8,124

So...which is deadlier to the American people.......

Wow....you read the truth, facts and reality and it doesn't sway you one bit....you suffer from a phobia...you are not rational in your thoughts about guns....

There are 357,000,000 million guns in private hands......

less than 8,124 were used to commit murder...that includes people who snapped .....

Americans use guns 1,500,000 times to stop violent criminal attack and save lives according to bill clinton and barak obama......

Which numbers are bigger?

Why is it that as 13 million Americans carried guns for self defense...our gun murder rate went down?

Why do 8,124 souls who lost their lives to gun murder in 2014 mean nothing to you? Considering that 70% more than that were probably injured by guns but survived, that's a lot of people hurt unnecessarily.
If 8,000 people were injured by exploding lithium batteries per year, would you shrug and say "Don't bother doing anything about it--it's a lot less than die in car crashes." That's ridiculous!

Again....357,000,000 guns in private hands....

And less than 8,124 gun murders...if they are designed to kill more quickly they sure are not doing a good job with those numbers........and most of those murders are career violent criminals murdering other criminals...again...not doing that great of a job murdering people are they?

Please....tell me....where does the non gun owning person ever see the NRA advertising to buy guns? Where does the average American ever see any advertising to for guns anywhere on television........?

So that is just crap.....the NRA saves lives by offering actual training in their safe use......get some help with your phobia.....

:cuckoo:

Most of those 8000 deaths were criminals killing other criminals.

More children die in swimming pools each year than die from guns. Should we ban swimming pools while we're at it?

I've owned firearms for 50+ years, and unless they have figured out how to get out of my gun safe, sneak out of the house without waking me, kill someone, sneak back into the house, again, without waking me, and lock themselves back in the safe, my guns havent' killed anyone or anything.

I'd say about 95-99% of gun owners, IMO, find the OP and your post foolish.
