Report: Taliban Offered Biden Control of Kabul, but He Declined

More evidence that biden lacks the mental acuity to be president. Even in his younger days biden was dumb as a rock and as is well known to have been wrong on every foreign policy issue.

Wow,

Could you imagine if that actually happened?

Bush got 10,000 US citizens killed & you think Biden has bad policy because 12 got killed? :cuckoo:
I have a feeling there are a good number of Americans and friends of American that Joe will leave behind in Afghanistan. Chances are they will end up dead.

Remains to be seen but it is beyond despicable that biden allowed the taliban man to determine whether our American Citizens trapped there live or die.

The Washington Post printed the article.

The chaos in Afghanistan could have reportedly been avoided altogether if President Joe Biden had accepted the Taliban’s initial offer for the U.S. to have full control of Kabul and the airport.

According to a report from the Washington Post, as the Taliban began taking control of Afghanistan, senior U.S. military leaders met with Taliban political leader Abdul Ghani Baradar in Doha, Qatar, where an offer was made for the United States to have control of Kabul until all U.S. troops had withdrawn; the offer was declined.

I am.unconvinced an offer was ever made. We killed people there for 20 years, drove the Taliban out and I'm expected to believe they did a deal under those circumstances. Never.
They proved what they thought of the deal. You are agreeing it took place and interpreting it as fact because it makes Joe look suspect.

Of course the Taliban are denying they did it. They didn't. It was their paid killers. It would have happened regardless. Maybe you'll learn what animals they are.
Joe's decision to withdraw was absolutely correct and No one anticipated this would happen.
Joe gave them some curry yesterday yet you bleat about a couple of future Taliban being killed.

Well of course you are enrirled to your opinion but opinions are like assholes everyone has one.

'Facing growing pressure over his looming deadline to leave Afghanistan, President Joe Biden dispatched his spy chief to meet with the Taliban's de facto leader, according to a senior diplomat in the region and another source familiar with the matter.

CIA Director William Burns held a secret meeting with the Taliban co-founder and political leader Abdul Ghani Baradar on Monday, the sources said. The meeting was first reported by The Washington Post.

The CIA declined to comment on the meeting, citing the agency's policy of never discussing the travels and meetings of its director."

Joe gives the Taliban hundreds of billions in advanced military equipment and even though they didn't know how to use it, they took it. It would have been nice if Joe was smart enough to accept control of Kabul, even though he's clueless as to how to use it. Joe must go.

He sought to have US troops / personnel solely ficus on the evacuation, but handing the control of the city resulted in checkpoints, blocked passage to the airport, Americans beaten, the car bomb, attacks on the airport, 13 dead US service members, humiliation, rebuke from allies, allies abandoning US, etc......

It actually makes you wonder if the Sniffer-in-Chief ignored the generals because he was getting his military advice from the "smartest guy he knows" (who was thrown out of the Navy on his first day of active duty for being a crackhead).....
