It is definitely not just an age thing! It's not an age thing,
Late night is dead, it was taken over by the Left long ago as a medium for recruiting, reinforcing and brainwashing the simpleminded. I'd bet the audiences spend more time laughing at mean lies cracked about Trump and republicans than they do laughing at actual jokes. They use laughter as the medium of reinforcement of cultist ideas.it's Democrat controlled politics ruining late night "entertainment". Kimmel, Colbert, Myers are awful. Fallon is tolerable because he doesn't dwell on politics like the others do.
Carson had the giants of Hollywood on his show, people that would go on no other program and certainly wouldn't do the late night of today. The only reason most of us wouldn't know hardly any of the names on as guests on late night now is not because we are fuddy duddies, but because most all of the people they have on now stink, they have no talent, and were just born into Hollywood with a silver spoon in their mouth, they didn't MAKE Hollywood, scratching and clawing their way up from dirt.
The guests of today don't hold a candle to the likes of Bob Hope, Dean Martin, Lucille Ball, and a hundred others.
