Scales of justice! Two fishermen who 'cheated by stuffing their catch with lead weights' to win thousands of dollars in Ohio fishing contest are indicted for grand theft

Prosecutor: Fisherman caught cheating at tournament charged

Jacob Runyan and Chase Cominsky were charged with cheating, attempted grand theft, possessing criminal tools, and unlawful ownership of wild animals
The indictments come nearly two weeks after weights and fillets were allegedly found inside the duo's tournament-winning catch.

Well that's one way to score a bass-boat. ;)

It's odd to me what becomes a big story and what ends as just a blurb on the back pages.

Can't believe they got away with it as long as they did. Glad they are being charged.

First this, then cheating at Chess, and recently, the woman who won a high stakes poker game is accused of cheating.

Yeah, it was hard to believe that there was even a follow-up article on it.

It's amazing what folks get worked-up about when there are so many other ills we are dealing with.

That said the very fact that those two were fucking with a pastime that people use to forget said ills may be the reason for the outrage and the coverage.

It ain't about the money, it's the bragging rights. You wouldn't even be arrested for grand larceny in NYC or Chicago or L.A. but these guys are easy targets and they are going to lose everything over a freaking fishing contest. Go figure.
