Yeah, it was hard to believe that there was even a follow-up article on it.

It's amazing what folks get worked-up about when there are so many other ills we are dealing with.

That said the very fact that those two were fucking with a pastime that people use to forget said ills may be the reason for the outrage and the coverage.

So I wonder...........it would seem this golf course did basically what the duo did with the tournament. They lied and cost this man over $50k. Is this not every bit as fraudulent as what the men arrested in the OP's story did?

It ain't about the money, it's the bragging rights. You wouldn't even be arrested for grand larceny in NYC or Chicago or L.A. but these guys are easy targets and they are going to lose everything over a freaking fishing contest. Go figure.
