“The new irregularities concern what happened after Flynn was interviewed by FBI agents Peter Strzok and Joe Pientka on January 24, 2017 – the interview in which Flynn was alleged to have lied about a December phone call with the Russian ambassador. FBI procedure is that one agent asks questions while another takes notes. Here, lead agent Strzok was the questioner and Pientka was responsible for memorializing the interview. After completing an interview, those notes are required to be organized and written up on an FD-302 form, which then becomes an official document used as evidence in an investigation.

FBI policy requires 302 forms to be submitted within five working days of an interview. The next day, February 15, the Flynn 302 was officially submitted and filed with the FBI.

In light of the above machinations, it is extremely hard to understand why Judge Sullivan didn't throw the case against Flynn out of court. How do you prosecute somebody for lying to the FBI when you cannot provide the original 302s to the defense? "It happens all the time", Sullivan is purported to have said. What hogwash, you're going to convict somebody based on an edited version of the original report? How does that pass in any criminal court proceeding? Wouldn't any honest and impartial judge have dismissed the charges right then and there?

You know what gets me? Sullivan allows a dismissal of charges against AK Sen. Stevens back in 2008 under similar circumstances. Misconduct in the investigations and prosecution, if I'm not mistaken. So why doesn't he do the same thing here? When the prosecution (DOJ) says we dropped the ball and didn't follow the rules that protect the accused's rights under the law and FBI protocols, how/why does he do a 180 from 12 years ago and deny the motion to dismiss? And then to open up the case for 3rd party opinions, WTH is that? Criminal cases are not supposed to be decided by public opinion or politics.

TDS. That's all I can come up with, Sullivan has a personal animus bordering on hatred it appears for Trump and anyone who supports him. So much so that he has lost any sense of propriety and impartiality that I thought he used to have when he allowed the Stevens case to be dropped. He (Sullivan) maybe is a liberal democrat and has been for some time, but IMHO in recent years the DNC has taken a hard turn to the Left and Sullivan has followed suit.

Even though Ms. Hill couldn't prove her accusation, that didn't matter. We have sworn testimony, we have emails, we have the dossier, we have truth.

They didn't care about due process or the rule of law, and so they ignored the basic rules and protocols that exist to protect a person;s civil and legal rights. It was all about making sure that Trump lost and Hillary won, and then after the calamity of Trump's election the emphasis shifted to de-legitimize Trump as much as possible and find a way to impeach him. And I can understand the reasoning: they had the press and academia behind them and a fairly solid political base (they did end up with a higher total vote count). And of course they absolutely hated Trump.

They didn't care about due process or the rule of law, and so they ignored the basic rules and protocols that exist to protect a person;s civil and legal rights. It was all about making sure that Trump lost and Hillary won, and then after the calamity of Trump's election the emphasis shifted to de-legitimize Trump as much as possible and find a way to impeach him. And I can understand the reasoning: they had the press and academia behind them and a fairly solid political base (they did end up with a higher total vote count). And of course they absolutely hated Trump.

And none of them will suffer their just deserts.
