Russia wants to keep the memories about the war (which killed over 25 million of the Soviet Union people) alive to prevent another war. However unfortunately there are still some countries who refuse to condemn glorification of Nazism.

UNITED NATIONS, December 17, 2018. The United Nations General Assembly passed a Russia-initiated draft resolution on combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fueling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.

The document was supported by 129 nations. Fifty-four abstained and two - the United States and Ukraine - voted against.
