Regarding the attempted assassination of Trump:
I regret that Biden's decision to step down occurred after the first2024 presidential debate. Vice President Harris will do as well as anyone else that could possibly be the Democratic presidential nominee.

I of course regret the attempted assassination of Trump, and I would no less have regretted it if the assassin had succeeded. I agree with those contending that attempt has likely insured Trump's election in2024. Hitler similarly became more popular in Germany after he the failed attempt to assassinate him. Any circumstances other than Trump being again rejected by the majority of USA's voters and our Electoral College, is of lesser best interest of our nation.

Trump would now have a much lesser chance of being elected if the Republican majorities of Georgia's legislature and the Republican Supreme Court justices, had not been able to deliberately prevent Trump from being on trial before a jury prior to the 2024 general elections. Donald Trump encouraged rather than attempting to interrupt the January 6th seditious attack upon the Capitol Building.

I wonder how the Left will react if he is re-elected. If past is truly prologue then we have a template.
They will have massive protests in DC and other major Democrat-controlled cities. They will immediately begin lawsuits against every policy decision as a means of slowing his agenda and they will foment discord against any staffers he chooses.

IOW, they will refuse to accept his legitimacy and will throw up every obstacle, legal or illegal that they can create, and if all else fails they will continue with increasingly violent protesting to try to force him to put National Guard in cities. If that happened it would be clear that it was being done to protect lives of Americans but the Left would then say "see, we told you he was a dictator".

Violence is inexcusable, from either side, but would you expect Dems to roll over and play dead? The GOP certainly didn't for Biden. The Dems will use every legal maneuver available, an American tradition.

Why would you "regret" the attempted assassination?

The Convicted Felon will most likely be facing off against a Prosecutor.

The left?

JD Vance, Trump’s VP pick, once called him a ‘moral disaster,’ and possibly ‘America’s Hitler’

Two things are guaranteed, the protesters will wear their vagina costumes again, and the Democrats will be back onto the Impeachment pedal.

Esdraelon, I don't doubt that Democrats and others such as myself who are firmly opposed to Donald Trump will attempt to do everything you described in your post's first paragraph. Everything you described is legal and was previously done by Republicans and other Trump supporters when Joseph Biden was duly elected President of the United States.

But the vast majority among all of us who are firmly opposed and have no confidence in Donald Trump, are law abiding citizens. Unlike too many Republicans and other Trump supporters, we prior to the election publicly state we're fully prepared to accept the decisions of USA's voters.
Trump quibbled and qualified his statement, with the phrase, "if it's a “fair election”; he's effectively promising if he's not elected, he will consider the election to have been ”unfair”.

When the vote count is not what we would wish for, we will not, (as too many Trump supporters have recently done), attempt to illegally overturn the election of our duly elected president.
We will not attempt to replace elected persons to serve as representatives of our states within the Electoral College, with false pretenders to serve our purposes. We will not gather as a seditious mob to attack our nation's legislators. Unlike Donald Trump, we will uphold our nation's constitution even when doing so is less to our convenience or preference.

All 92 indictments against Trump were manufactured law fare. They are all turning to dust on the wind because they have NO LEGAL MERIT. I find it very offensive you managed to make a Hitler reference and attach it to his near assassination, but that is what classless Trump haters do. He is the Democrat Regime's worst nightmare. Trump is like Jason, no matter what they do to try and destroy him, he keeps coming back.

MarathonMike, although there's some legal precedent for NY state's criminal prosecution of Donald Trump, and the jury's guilty verdicts may not unlikely be upheld by the courts, I agree prosecution of that case was no less than a stretch and more likely was politically selective prosecution. I'm among the many who were and are firmly opposed to any extraordinary legal hindrances to Trump's striving to again be elected president.

On the other hand, The Georgia state's legislature's Republican majority, and the Supreme courts' majority of Republican appointed justices, deliberately delayed Donald Trump facing those criminal trials by jury prior to the 2024 general elections.

There's sufficient credible evidence supporting state's and federal indictments of Donald Trump's attempts to illegally overthrow the 2020 general elections, urging on a seditious mob that attacked the Capitol building, and not in a timely manner respond to pleas for national guard support of federal and city law enforcement officers defending our federal legislators, their staff, and other federal employees that were then under siege. Why on God's green Earth would anybody compare Trump to Hitler?

I can think of many extremely antisemitic Democrats, but Trump is more supportive of Jewish people than just about ANY democrat out there.

They are comparing Trump to Hitler because they are nasty liars DESPERATE to continue Obama’s “transformation” of America into a 3rd world, banana republic - and they will stop at NOTHING to keep Trump from interfering with it, as we saw on July 13th.

You are entitled to your opinion. My opinion is all 92 indictments were politically motivated and without any legal merit. Just like the Russian Collusion Hoax and Trump's two impeachments. The Democrats since Trump was elected in 2016 have devolved into a power obsessed Regime that will do anything, including leaving Trump woefully unprotected at a public rally inviting an assassination attempt which failed by less than one inch.

The choice in November is between Trump and his positive vision for the county or The Regime that has shredded the Constitution, wrecked our courts, our border, Afghanistan, and emboldened all of our foreign adversaries with weakness and inaction.

Lisa558, Hitler attempted to grab political power by employing a direct seditious mob attack upon the government. Trump attempted to remain in political power by his own and his supporters' illegal efforts to overthrow the 20204 general elections.

Hitler benefited from supporting violent organized hoodlum mobs intimidating those who were opposed to him and/or the Nazi Party.

Trump in the same manner benefits from violent organized hoodlum mobs which similar to the Nazis brown-shirts, seek to intimidate all those who are opposed to Trump. These differences between Hitler and Trump are differences without distinctions.

Coincidentally, both Hitler and Trump benefited gained increased popularity and additional power due to the failed attempts to assassinate them. Respectfully, Supposn
