You’re right, fair question... I can’t say for sure. My guess would be that the intel was classified and sensitive and with the hyperbolic partisan atmosphere swirling in the Nunez click, he didn’t trust congress to protect the information and he didn’t want to see it politicized.

Lying to the judge is just bad news for an entire law enforcement agency, as it destroys their credibility.

If I'm on a jury, and an FBI agent testifies, I would wonder if the g man isn't just lying out of his anus because he doesn't care for the defendent, after listening to the smirking Strzok on TV. I think that G men have to go to prison, to help the credibility of the other law enforcement.
