Over a thousand people dead in the Pacific Northwest heat wave, no big deal. Texas loses it's power due to a storm predicted a week in advance, due to inadequate maintenance of all aspects of their grid. Record number of tornadoes in December. Wild fires in December that destroyed farms, ranches, and homes in one state, and nearly 1000 home in another state. But no one ever predicted extreme weather events as part of what climate change caused by global warming would bring. No one ever predicted the rapid melting of mountain glaciers and the ice caps in Greenland and Antarctica. No one ever predicted the rapid shrinking of the sea ice in the summer in the Arctic Ocean. You silly bastard are such dumb liars.

LOL another single-issue poll which is always misleading since it isn't allowing other concerns for people to weight against it here is what the QUESTIONS were from the download link at page 63.

"The Peoples’ Climate Vote involved two “big picture” questions followed by six policy questions where the respondent could select up to three preferences per question (18 total). For demographic information, respondents were asked to identify their gender from male, female or “X”, their age as under-18, 18-35, 36-59, or 60+, and when they left their education.

The first two “big picture” questions asked the respondent if they thought climate change was a global emergency and, if so, the urgency of action required to address it. The second part of the survey asked respondents which of the 18 policies they favoured to tackle climate change. The policy options were framed around six of the most impactful solution areas: energy, economy, transportation, farms and food, protecting people, and nature. The content draws from the SDGs, portfolio and approaches by the United Nations and UNDP, and analyses conducted by the IPCC and NASA, and NGOs such as Project Drawdown. The content was simplified to enable mass participation and reviewed by some of the world’s leading experts on climate policy."

Another misleading poll for suckers like Abu to make a fool of themselves over here is a far better set of polls to consider where many possible concerns are listed, and the respondents make their decision by ranking them from my post 79 is my post showing several MULTIPLE CONCERN polls showing that climate change/Global warming are at or near the bottom of the list of importance.

Multiple concern polls are a far better measure on what people think are most important to them.

Correlation does not prove causation. The only correlation between temperature and CO2 on a planetary scale that is known with any certainty is from the time before the industrial revolution. Prior to the industrial revolution CO2 was a proxy for temperature. This is a fact that no one disputes. If you don't know why this correlation existed, just ask me. Since that time man's emissions have broken the correlation between temperature and CO2. We know this with 100% certainty because we are 2C cooler than in the past with 120 ppm more CO2.

Some scientists have attribute the recent warming trend to CO2 based upon model results. But other scientists come to opposite conclusions about the causes of recent climate change depending on which datasets they consider. For instance, the panels on the left lead to the conclusion that global temperature changes since the mid-19th century have been mostly due to human-caused emissions, especially carbon dioxide (CO2), i.e., the conclusion reached by the UN IPCC reports. In contrast, the panels on the right lead to the exact opposite conclusion, i.e., that the global temperature changes since the mid-19th century have been mostly due to natural cycles, chiefly long-term changes in the energy emitted by the Sun.

Both sets of panels are based on published scientific data, but each uses different datasets and assumptions. On the left, it is assumed that the available temperature records are unaffected by the urban heat island problem, and so all stations are used, whether urban or rural. On the right, only rural stations are used. Meanwhile, on the left, solar output is modeled using the low variability dataset that has been chosen for the IPCC’s upcoming (in 2021/2022) 6th Assessment Reports. This implies zero contribution from natural factors to the long-term warming. The native state of our planet with its current land mass and ocean configuration is to cool. They have mistakenly correlated the recent warming trend to CO2 despite the geologic record being littered with warming and cooling trends that were not caused by CO2 or orbital forcing. Arguing that there can be no other causes for the recent warming trend is disingenuous. The geologic record is littered with examples. This is especially true ever since the planet transitioned from a greenhouse planet to an icehouse planet 3 million years ago. Climate fluctuations and environmental uncertainties are hallmarks of our bipolar glaciated world which has different glaciation thresholds at each pole.
