Read 'em and weep: President Trump's Big Beautiful Bill approaches final vote

I am so tired of this ******* bologna about "SPENDING!"

The GDP growth and tariff revenue will make this economy take off like a rocket.

Sometimes I think right leaning doomers are worse than Democrats.

(Not that you fall into either category, just sayin'...)

I'm cautiously optimistic on that part, time will tell.

Tarriffs are a wild card. If too high, oveseas vendors don’t eat some cost, then it could slow spending. Unless USA Manufacturers jump in and make similar goods in question cheaper? Unlikely on clothing, hats, plastic toys….cheap crap. Big ticket items? Maybe it works out.

Bottom line: they finally realize it is no good like it is. They are making changes, despite DEM “phony R” and media 24-7 pounding on Trump …like board stain do.

They base their income projections and over the horizon savings on the same pixie dust and wishful thinking.

Isn’t it the same CBO? We saw what Obiden does. Huge spending, no value added to the country. 12 dreadful years they robbed us. They could have raised the top income tax bracket anytime in 12 years, single page 1 hour bill. But the didn’t? As you all chirp, Tax the rich. Why is that? Capital gains too.

Well it's a good thing that they raised the so-called debt ceiling another 5 trillion dollars to cover the pixie dust...at least until next time...

Tarriffs are a wild card.

Not Trump's.

They've already collected $300 billion in revenue, and halved our trade deficit last month.

Even CNBC has been forced to admit that it also hasn't harmed the American consumer.

Meanwhile MAGA doomers and Dems alike love to quote the CBO regarding the deficit - and they got it WRONG in 2017.

Just like they got the number of enrollees on Obamacare wrong - they always get it wrong.

But I don't see anyone quoting the OMB - whose history has been far more accurate.

They are saying the bill is deficit neutral.

Quite remarkable, and yet not a peep.

It's almost as if the MSM has an agenda.

Just like in 2024 - they want Dems in lockstep on message and MAGA demoralized - and us white pilled mofos gotta drag it over the ******* finish line so limp dick whiners don't derail the Trump train and hand victory over to the Dems.

And, make no mistake, victory is at hand. ;)

Clearly you haven’t been paying attention. Taxation is theft. Anything that starves the leviathan is a good thing. Those cuts are such a minuscule portion of this spending monstrosity.

I think most agree with you, we would cut the federal government in half or more if we could, unfortunately we all have to live in reality, and that's never going to happen.

I predict the bill will pass.

If there is no effort to do so it will never happen. The can gets kicked down the road and future generations will pay a terrible price, one far greater than my grandparents did in the ‘30’s.

So what do you or I do about it? That's my point, we really have no power, other than to vote them out. And if no one else goes along with it, then nothing happens.

How's the Big Bloated ***** of a Bill coming along? Republicans must be proud!

There's a big difference between "living in reality", and conceding to shit because you have no backbone.

Backbone? Tell us your solution then, apparently you have no backbone either since that's what reality is today. What have you done to fix it?

Here is why the BBB actually SHRINKS the deficit.

It really is quite simple, and explained better here than I could ever do:

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO), tasked with providing “objective, nonpartisan information to support the Congressional budget process,” estimated that the Senate version of the GOP’s reconciliation bill would add $3.3 trillion to the deficit over 10 years. The president’s Council of Economic Advisors (CEA), on the other hand, estimated that the bill could reduce the deficit by $4.5 trillion.

The dramatic discrepancy between the estimates from CBO and the CEA stems largely from differing assumptions about what counts as expected future policy, known as the baseline.

CBO relies on a “current law” baseline, which assumes that key provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) will expire. In contrast, the Trump administration and some fiscal watchdogs favor a “current policy” baseline, which assumes those tax cuts will be extended, as they often are, and therefore does not treat the extension of the 2017 Trump tax cuts as a new cost.

Since BBB is about to pass, and will - in fact - extend the 2017 tax cuts in perpetuity, the CBO assessment is simply wrong.

Plain and simple.
