"Rational" Republicans Threaten Third-Party if Cheney's Replaced.

As is pointed out so many times by Conservatives, we are a Republic, not a pure Democracy.

Congress people are required first and foremost to live up to their congressional oaths, second to act in the best interests of their constituents and the country as their conscience dictates, and only to vote and act as their constituents want when the first two are not violated.

.

Representative Cheney Didn't lose her job as a Republican.
She didn't lose her job because she violated her oath.
She didn't even lose her job because she failed to act in the best interest of her constituents.

She lost her job as Republican House Conference Chair because she wasn't doing her job.

The first thing she said after being fired was that she would do everything in her power to see that Former President Trump never gets elected again ...
Well, that wasn't her fucking job as Republican House Conference Chair ...

.

Upholding and defending the Constitution IS her job as a congress person - and it WAS her job as Republican House Conference Chair.

She got voted out of that position by a bunch of traitors that should be expelled from congress!!!
She got voted out of that position because her fellow Republicans didn't want her in that position anymore.

That's not treason. It's not anything but the GOP doing what it believes is in its own best interest.

Stop with the hyperbole.

For those who thought they would never care about who was the third most important House Republican, Liz Cheney's expected ouster from her leadership position has inspired 100 former Republican leaders drop a letter tomorrow (Thursday 5/13) saying if their party does not separate itself from the former president, they will form a third party:
The Whigs Collapsed Over Slavery. Could the GOP Over Trump?

‘Rationals’ vs. ‘radicals’: Anti-Trump Republicans threaten third party

"The letter, headlined: 'A Call For American Renewal,' is an exploratory move toward forming a breakaway party, two of its organizers said.

"The group is dismayed by what it says is a modern Republican Party driven by its allegiance to Trump, who continues to falsely claim the 2020 election was stolen from him..."

"A spokesman for Trump, Jason Miller, said: 'These losers left the Republican Party when they voted for Joe Biden.'

"Evan McMullin, a former chief policy director for the House Republican Conference and an independent presidential candidate in 2016, said if the Republican Party does not reject lies and extremism, part of it 'will have no choice but to part ways with it and build something new. We’re excited about that prospect.'"

Imho, if four years of Biden has the same effect on Democrats as Trump has had on Republicans, the US may finally get rid of its two-party political monopoly.

What a laugher.

These clowns essentially did that already with their Lincoln Project support of Trump

She refused to go along with the BIG LIE. She refused to go along with a bunch of TREASONOUS assholes that are trying to undermine Democracy.

The GQP "civil war" lasted about 15 minutes, and Trump won. Now it's up to the lucid members of the party to rip the scab off for the good of the country.

If they form that party, I'll vote for it in support, at least while it's getting started.
The scab is in the WH.

Because your head may be stuck so far up Former President Trump's ass you cannot see the light of day, doesn't mean anyone else has to join you ...

Yes, it is treason.

The Jan. 6 insurrection was an act of war against the United States.

Trump incited the insurrection and gave aid and comfort to the insurrectionists.

According to the Constitution, that is treason.

Congress people who continue to support Trump and the big lie are also giving aid and comfort to the insurrectionists.

That is treason as well.

The civil war as you call it has been going on for years. It must scare you. For me they must elect what is you. Detestable, arrogant, obnoxious and even self important male and female divas to give it back to you. Making the Congress a total banana republic party atmosphere. For we all know the Progs are already there. But no one is giving to them back. And they have run roughshod on the constitution and the people for a long time. Lets finish the job. Lets get it over. In just a few months and the anticipation of Biden being anointed the potentate the United States and the World is falling into disarray. It seems Trump kept most of that for himself. We had it good. Progs talk all of their platitudes and are destroying us. But you like them. They have a "D" next to their names. Pipelines closed and jobs lost and inflation here and going higher and higher with higher gas and fuel prices also.

What a wonder baby you are. The Jan. 6th demonstration was to protest fraud. The Capitol police opened the doors and the Congress and Pence were never in danger. It is hype, viscous lies and treason to accuse these people of anything but exercising their rights.

An unarmed woman was murdered and you are OK with that. Shame on you.

15 min. Civil wars, half hour insurrections . Tin foil hat hour. Sounds like someone should check into the loony bin. Plus your a biden supporter, you may be a permanent resident.

If anything, they will not tolerate incredibly bad optics. It wasn't what she did that has the GOP establishment spooked, but how she did it. That wouldn't fly in any political party. It's not a "Trumpsters" thing.

They only care what an ever shrinking minority of the American people think and have been trying to undermine the will of the majority of the American people.

Yes. You are the queen of hyperbole when it comes to the mostly peaceful protest at the U.S. Capital on January 6.
