Rank these 3 Al Pacino gangster classics

He is a degenerate

He has his own world which is presumably an acceptable one for him .
Does not make him a degenerate .

I must admit to largely agreeing with his view of Pacino .
Very mannered and prone to histrionics -- at times like bits of Brando and Dean .
Playing to the gallery for cheap applause etc etc, imo.

As for name calling-- suffice to repeat that you and Morticia share a great deal .

I was only drawn to watch Scarface, and I wasn't disappointed, so I say Scarface is Number One.

By the way, I think the Miami Vice television series was heavily influenced by Scarface.

Also, how could you forget Dick Tracy?

Big Boy Caprice!

I still watch De Nero movies all the time but only 3 !!

Casino , heat and goodfellas

I hate movies that glorify the mafia. I don't like violent movies in general...especially ones that promote violence or portray it as no big deal which desensitizes people to it.

But I guess I'm raining on the parade so that's all I'll say about that.

Sorry if I ruined your mafia movie party.

Same for me, also including TV shows like The Sopranos.

Thank God for Ray Romano!

Pacino was a hack in Scarface. Comically bad.
Scarface is mildly entertaining, but poorly acted throughout with ridiculous circumstances.
It is more akin to a "made for TV" movie than the big screen.

Carlito's way is better, but not exactly a great movie.

Donnie Brasco is better by a loooong shot. The only one that is a genuinely good movie.
As well as the only one Pacino was good in. (Of the three)
