Rand Paul Uses a Talking Point STRAIGHT FROM PUTIN'S PLAYBOOK - Defends Russia - Says Ukraine Used to be part of RUSSIA

RAND PAUL: You could also argue the countries they've attacked were part of Russia

Is it true?

Russia never "attacked" anyone.
Russia is trying to help the ethnic Russians being illegal murdered by the fascist Azov Battalion.
These are Ukrainian fascist racists who are murdering anyone with a Russian accent.
Kyiv is not stopping them, but arming them instead.

The Ukraine has no authority to violate the local autonomy of the ethnic Russian majority in the Donetsk, etc.

Pure horseshit, 14% of Kiev's population are ethnic Russians and lived just fine among Ukranians, speaking any language they wanted.

Conflict in the east stemmed from 2014 Russian invasion of crimea and their support of separatists in Dombass region.

That is just a lie.
Before 1955, 100% of the Donetsk, Crimea, etc., were Russian.
Now over 93% of the Donetsk, Crimea, etc. are still ethnic Russian and voted for secession from the Ukraine.
The Ukrainians are notorious fascist, and Holocaust testimony proved that 80% of Hitler's death camps were run by Ukrainians.
The Azov Battalion is notorious for murdering ethnic Russians.
The dead in Bucha were not killed by Russians who had left the day before, but were people with a Russian accent, murdered by the Azov Battalion.
You can tell because they had been bound by strips of cloth, plastic bags, etc., and not tie straps like a real military would use.
The Ukraine never had any legal right to the Donetsk or Crimea, and Khrushchev only gave them to the Ukraine in 1955 because he was Ukrainian.
But by stealing oil, murdering ethnic Russians, violating treaties, trying to join NATO, etc., the Ukraine forfeit any independence the 1992 treaties had granted.

it does not matter!

Russia recognized Ukraine to be sovereign country in the 90's after USSR fell apart and Ukrainians freely and overwhelmingly voted to separate.

Russia does not get to change their mind suddenly 30 years later. There are no sorta-kinda-sovereign countries, there are JUST sovereign countries.

Russia has ZERO claim to any Ukranian soil. None. And useful American idiots like Paul deserve a place in hell for carrying water for Putin and his bloody war of choice.

Yes Russia DOES get to change its mind after the Ukraine violated the terms of the 1992 treaties.
For example, the Ukraine was not supposed to steal oil from the Russian pipelines running through the Ukraine.
The Ukraine was not supposed to murder ethnic Russians in the Ukraine, but they did murder over 14k ethnic Russians.
The Ukraine was not supposed to violate the treaties with Russia, like the ones promising to never join an alliance hostile to Russia, like NATO.
When Zelensky asked for NATO weapons and to join NATO, that violated the treaties and was an act of war.
So then the Ukraine no longer legally exists even, since the 1992 treaties are now null and void, due to violations by the Ukraine.

The Ukraine has no authority to violate the local autonomy of the ethnic Russian majority in the Donetsk, etc.
Ukraine has a FULL right to enforce it's country's borders and it's federal authority.

There is no "local autonomy", not in United States (and we've had a civil war over that too), not in Russia, not in Ukraine.

Take your "before 1955" and shove it up your idiot ass.

Do you deny that the Donetsk, Crimea, etc. used to be part of Russia for over 1000 years, that the Ukraine is abusing and murdering them, and that by the principle of "local autonomy", they have the right to secede?

Ukraine has a FULL right to enforce it's country's borders and it's federal authority.

There is no "local autonomy", not in United States, not in Russia, not in Ukraine.

Wrong.
The Ukraine is artificial and was given the eastern half by Khrushchev by fiat, which is not legal.
The Ukraine also lost all sovereignty by violating the 1992 treaties that gave it independence.
And if there was no such thing as "local autonomy", then the US should immediately be returned to England.
According to you, we had no right to rebel.

"Local autonomy" is the principle by which ALL or ANY government derives is legitimacy.
There is no other.

Again, take your "used to be" and shove it up your ass.

It IS Ukrainian sovereign territory, just like illegally occupied by Russians Crimea.

Wrong.
The Ukraine ceased to exist the second it violated the 1992 treaties, by doing things like murdering ethnic Russians, stealing oil, trying to join NATO, etc.
Do you deny that Zelensky tried to join NATO, requested NATO weapons, and it getting and using NATO weapons to harm Russia?
Clearly those are all acts of war and violations of the any treaty that would even allow for the Ukraine to exist.

Ayn Rand Paul is a crazy Liebertarian NaziCon! No wonder his neighbor beat the shit out of him!

That is contradictory.
Libertarians are against government having any coercive power, and Nazi want government to be all powerful.

And besides, in this case, Paul Rand is right.
The Ukraine is a run by the US bribing the most corrupt Ukrainians in 2014, to violate the treaties the Ukraine is based on.
The Ukrainian fascist not only murdered over 14k ethnic Russians, but have a long history of fascist racism, like manning Hitler's death camps, like Demjanjuk at Sobibor.

{...
Sobibor was guarded by approximately 400 watchmen.[136] Survivors often refer to them as blackies, Askaris, or Ukrainians. They were captured Soviet prisoners of war who had volunteered for the SS in order to escape the abominable conditions in Nazi POW camps.[137][138] Watchmen were nominally guards, but they were also expected to supervise work details and perform manual labour including punishments and executions.[109] They also took an active part in the extermination process, unloading transports and escorting the victims into the gas chambers.[29][139] Watchmen dressed in mixed-and-matched pieces of Nazi, Soviet, and Polish uniforms, often dyed black (giving rise to the term "blackies").[136] They received pay and rations similar to those of Waffen-SS, as well as a family allowance and holiday leave.[140]
...}

{... Prisoners regarded the (Ukrainian) watchmen as the most dangerous among the Sobibor staff, their cruelty surpassing that of the SS officers.[137] In the words of historian Marek Bem, "It can be said that the Ukrainian guards' cynicism was in no way inferior to the SS men's premeditation."[159] ...}

I refer to him as Farty. I don’t think he likes me.

Fun fact time: after Russia itself, the First Nation to join the Soviet Union was Ukraine!

I think when it dissolved, Ukraine was also the first to leave the Soviet Union.
The first were the Baltic republics.

More correctly, Ukraine was joined to the Soviet Union.

You might think that Russia doesn't get to change their mind. Russia on the other hand seems intent on rebuilding what it lost 30 years ago.

We used to be part of Great Britain. That wouldn’t justify their effort to try to blast us back into submission. Of course, in fairness, Rand denied that he was talking about “justification.”

In any event, Fuck Putin. I’ll toast his death.

The only thing libs don't like about Uncle Pooty is that he was cordial with President Trump.

Russian leaders like Lenin and Breshnev did far worse but were given a pass when they invaded countries like Cuba and Nicaragua. And FDR's good friend, Joe Stalin, committed genocide against Ukraine and was also given a pass. But Stalin wasn't cordial with the Trumpster.
