Rand Paul is gaining national momentum

But Rand Paul stays on point and he makes sense to the moderate voters needed to win in 2016.

Rand Paul repels moderates.
I'm a moderate - I can tell you for sure.

He's in a virtual tie with Hillary Clinton - IN KENTUCKY!

Public Policy Polling: Rand Paul

Wow.... Rand's doing that well against a name like Clinton? Dems are fucked if Rand runs lol. It's easy to get high polling when you have massive name recognition, that's why it's so hard to beat a sitting President, like Obama.... and Bush.

ROFLMAO - if Hillary is tied with the guy in a bright red state like Kentucky - you got real problems.

He will have plenty of time to repair his image among moderates and he's going to need to - desperately.

Worry about his toilets?

Not to mention Rand had a real job, Obama kinda skipped the whole work for a living thing and managed to end up a 1%er who "works" in Government somehow.

I like how you knock Rand for things Obama never did, like vote on bills, and have an actual job.... So strange how that bothers you.

Obama had a law degree and held political office prior to running for the Senate. AynRand Paul had NO political experience and apparently is sorely lacking in the "executive experience" department the right is so fond of in their Presidents.

But with that being said, I agree that he's qualified....as was Obama. The right just refused to admit that about Obama and now are going to look like a bunch of hypocrites if they try and pass Rand Paul off as their nominees.

Oh and he can't beat Hillary so this thread is moot.

perhaps moot, but certainly a hoot.

Colbert rightly said Rand Paul is a "home perm cautionary tale".

Funny story is you don't know where Colbert stands on politics, he says what sells, to people like yourself. Think about that for a moment, you quote someone that you have literally no idea where they stand for them self politically. Just for a moment, think about that.

Here's Colbert on Ron Paul... Colbert rides the Cain train in SC, praises Ron Paul?s consistency | The Daily Caller
Yes, I recall that the Bush administration thought Colbert was a right winger when they asked him to speak at that dinner. Satire just doesn't register with cons.

Rand Paul bravely fillibustered the Senate to make Obama admit his plan to use drones to attack innocent Americans here at home. He is also proposing a balanced budget that would shrink our debt and put an end to the wasteful liberal entitlement programs. With everything he has accomplished in his short time in Washington it is no wonder he won the Presidential straw poll at CPAC. Rand Paul will more than likely be our candidate for 2016 for the Republican Party and will win the election easily after so many years of Obama and the democrat's failures.

If that is the case, then the right had better be prepared to fight back a major shit storm from the left because AynRand Paul will have entered the race with even LESS experience than Obama had when he ran. FFS, the guy isn't even a board certified opthamologist. He's a fake. But I guess IOKIYAR????

Rand will have 6 years or so in the Senate, he will have voted 10 times more than Obama on bills and read 100% more of them. It's not how long you sat around, it's what you did during that time that matters.

Whew!!!!

That's some seriously-bad news for the Teabaggin' Congressional Class o' 2010!!!

He's not out -of-touch and elitist.

I'm sorry, but a guy who thought the President of the US was going to start blowing up Americans with drones on American soil is, by definition, out of touch...with reality. As is anyone who drank his piss.

Yes, Ayn Rand Paul, aka Aqua Buddha, is gaining national momentum...with right-wingers...

Romney won the CPAC straw poll last year.

But Rand Paul stays on point and he makes sense to the moderate voters needed to win in 2016.

He does? How do you define "moderate"?

People who admire Rand Paul define a "moderate" as someone who believes we should legalize crack cocaine and heroin, end the Federal Reserve and the FAA and the USDA and the FDA, shrink the military down to the size of a cub scout troop, eliminate all federal safety regulations and all federal environmental regulations and all child labor laws, and wears a propellor hat.

Oh. And they believe the President wants to bomb Americans on American soil with drones.

Rand Paul?

Running for president?

You’ve got to be kidding.

He’s as much a joke and failure as his father, if not more so.

It's odd because you're sometimes very bright, then you say mindless stupid chit like you just did...

Seriously though, how does one define "moderate." If a moderate believe Government should stay the same size it is today, then is anyone that wants to grow it a far left, and anyone that wants to shrink it a far right? Because interesting how no matter how much Government keeps growing, by leaps and bounds, the future far left always becomes the new moderates....

In today's world, it seems... massive as well as many loosely defined wars, huge trillion plus yearly deficits, endless "stimulus" at 40 billion a month, giant bail-outs, massive Government health care power grabs (Obamacare/medicare part D) and expansions to the patriot act are now "moderate" positions....

Oooor, what counts as zero. What counts as middle of the road? what do we/you base the term "moderate" on? I'd say following the constitution while maintaining a balanced budget counts as moderate. Am I wrong?

A Senator, polling as well as a big name like Clinton.... Yeah, that's pretty dang good. Anyways, even if Rand were horrible as you say, he ain't as bad as the Bush era policy pusher Obama, that you voted for 2x.

WTF? Obama was in the senate for like a year before he ran lol. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Even though I disagree with him on a lot of issues I actually like Rand Paul, and don't think he would make a bad POTUS. That said, Obama still had just as much experience, if not more than Rand Paul. As SoS, a Senator, and First Lady Hillary Clinton has more experience than both combined. IF she runs I predict she would mop the floor with Rand Paul.

I'd weep if I didn't think Hillary is actually pretty middle of the road.

I weep that you think that whore is anything but a leftist sociopath. She'd be a better POTUS than the moonbat messiah, but so would a houseplant.

Best news ever.

I agree, Democrats have the next election locked.

Particularly if Rand Paul is the nominee.

Rand is just the type of candidate the GOP needs to win over moderate swing voters in 2016.

He's not out -of-touch and elitist. He doesn't think that he needs an elevator for his cars. He doesn't have any hidden tax returns. He, his wife, and his kids don't think they're entitled to special privileges.

Romney, on the other hand, was elitist, snobby, out-of-touch, had elevators for his cars, had hidden tax returns, and had an entitled attitude. So did his wife and boys.

When your opposition makes a fuss over your prospective candidate, you know your on to someone they don't want to go against.....

Especially when the next election is 3 plus years out.

Yeah, the Democrats were afraid of Sarah Palin too... :cuckoo:
