Radical Islam versus Firearms control

According to the left in this Country a tiny fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a percent of firearms which are used in crime mean we should ban all such firearms and restrict all citizens from owning or possessing them. But when a Radical Islamist attacks then we are reminded over and over that only a small percent of Islam is radical and we should not blame them all.

Anyone notice a problem with their logic?

It is just as wrong to criminalize someone because of your fear of unlawful abuse of guns
as it is to criminalize someone because of your fear of religious or terrorist abuse of Islam.
People have a right to their guns as we have a right to our religions.
But we cannot abuse either 1st or 2nd Amendment rights to violate the
other rights and laws within the same Bill of Rights and Constitution we are invoking.

These laws include Due Process, and the right to assemble peaceably
and secure; so that no rights may be abused to breach these equal rights of others
by depriving them of liberty, due process before judging or punishing them,
or disrupting the right of others to peace and security. Clearly any abuses of firearms or of religion end up violating one or more of these other rights included in the same laws.

The correct way to check against abuses of either 1st or 2nd Amendment
is to teach and enforce the Constitutional laws consistently in context.

So that way, neither can liberals take their interpretation of the 2nd Amendment,
out of context with the rest of the laws, and violate the religious freedom of others who believe differently. Beliefs and equal protections must be respected equally or that's not equal justice and protection of the laws.
It would be discrimination to impose on people on the basis of creed, by abusing govt to do so.

At the moment all we want is to fix the background check system so ALL sales are covered and those on the terror watch and no fly lists can't but weapons. A ban on future sales of military style high velocity assault weapons WOULD NOT BE CRAZY, but no one is talking about taking any guns away- not in the good old USA- but extremist idiots- BOTH SIDES.

I was in the Military and these firearms the left wants to ban ARE NOT MILITARY WEAPONS. The only thing you people are trying to ban is cosmetics.

I control my firearm very well. If a radical Muslim or other starts shooting at me, i promise i can and will respond swiftly and effectively. And i'm not trying to play the 'Internet Tough Guy' by saying that. I will respond accordingly.

You are of course aware that the ONLY difference between an AR-15 and a semi automatic hunting rifle is how they LOOK?

Is that really true ? Don't AR's fire a bullet designed to cause major damage ? Vs a hunting rifle where you don't want to shred the game meat.
