Racist video is merely the latest in a long line of Trump’s ugly social media posts

These kinds of stunts are just Trump tossing out chum to the media. Whenever he feels cornered and needs a distraction, or just isn't seeing his name in the press as much as he'd like, he drops trou and lays a pile.

And it works like a charm. No one can keep up. Before he's ever been held accountable for the first asinine act/comment, he's committed three more.

You despise the left for saying it’s inappropriate to post videos depicting black people as monkeys.

You defend the people saying it’s acceptable to post videos depicting black people as monkeys.

That says all we need to know about who you are.

Is it inappropriate to depict white people as monkeys?

Is it inappropriate to depict white people as monkeys?

Oh good, you’re here. I like talking to you.

I would say that both are insults, however one has a long history as a deeply offensive racist trope and the other one is just kind of an insult.

Can we agree on that?

Why is one a racist trope and the other only an insult?

From AI:

“Portraying Black people as monkeys or apes is a deeply racist trope because it is a historical tool of dehumanization designed to equate people of African descent with animals, thereby denying them their human rights, intelligence, and dignity. This imagery has been used for centuries to justify slavery, segregation, lynching, and modern-day violence.”

Do you disagree? Given the historical context, is calling a white person a monkey the same as calling a black person a monkey?

Trump hasn't even replaced Howard Lutnick. LMAO.....

Trump has a long history of posting stuff like this on the Internet, going all the way back to 2015 when he first ran for the Office of President, so him attempting to blame a staffer for the latest debacle is a bit hard to swallow. These posts should unsettle anyone who takes the United States seriously as a nation because it exposes something dangerous, the trivialization of the world's most consequential office. It shows how carelessly the power, credibility, and accumulated moral authority of a superpower can be squandered for a few seconds of viral attention. In any other major democracy, this behavior from a head of state would trigger a constitutional crisis.
Trump should take his job seriously as opposed to being an 80-year-old shit poster on the Internet.

Back in 2015, his Twitter feed suggested Iowans were dumb for favoring Trump’s opponent, Ben Carson, in the polls. “Too much Monsanto in the #corn creates issues in the brain?” read a post that Trump’s account reposted.

Trump later posted: “The young intern who accidentally did a Retweet apologizes.”

(Despite blaming an intern, the sentiment matched something Trump himself would later say, in public.)

In 2016, Trump posted an image of Hillary Clinton in front of piles of cash and the words “most corrupt candidate ever” inside a six-sided star reminiscent of the Star of David. The image had previously appeared on antisemitic, White supremacist message boards, and Trump’s campaign soon replaced it with a circle in place of the six-sided star.

And you fell for it? My 12 Year-Old Grandson knew it was fake.

Since he's abviously more intelligent than you, that tells us everything we need to know.

Elevating you to the mental status of a 6th Grader is better than you deserve

Trump doesn't make original content. He reposts something that has something he likes. He probably doesn't even watch the whole video and doesn't know everything that's in it. This whole thing is phony outrage. Nobody cares. Leftwingers don't care. Blacks don't care. Tempest in a teapot. What we do care about is the roaring economy this great man has created. DJIA hit 50,000 yesterday.
The economy isn’t roaring. DJIA grew faster under Biden. You certainly didn’t refer to the economy as roaring then. Be consistent with your metrics or you won’t be taken seriously

Doesn't explain why it's dehumanizing to black people but not to white people?

No, all of that would apply to white people as well.

I just explained that there’s a history in this country of treating black people as less than human. Hence why it’s considered a racist trope.

More from AI:

  • Historical Dehumanization & Slavery: During the era of slavery and colonialism, equating Black people with apes was used to suggest they were a separate, lower species. By portraying them as subhuman, slave owners and colonialists justified the brutal treatment, ownership, and killing of Black people.
  • Scientific Racism & Eugenics: In the 18th and 19th centuries, pseudo-scientific theories (like the "Great Chain of Being") placed Black people between apes and white humans. This "scientific racism" was used to argue that Black people were less evolved and therefore inherently inferior.
  • "The Coon" Caricature: Around the turn of the 20th century, minstrel shows and postcards frequently used simianized (ape-like) images of Black people to entertain white audiences. These caricatures emphasized supposed stupidity and wildness to reinforce white superiority.
  • Justification for Violence: This imagery has a direct link to violence. Research shows that associating Black people with apes makes society more likely to condone violence against them, particularly within the criminal justice system. It has been used to dehumanize victims of police brutality and lynchings.
  • Modern Persistence: Although overt, it remains a common tool of racist abuse used to provoke and degrade Black people today. It appears in modern internet memes, social media, and in sports, often used to suggest that Black individuals lack human intellect or emotion.
In essence, the trope is not just an insult; it is a direct invocation of a long, violent history that aimed to strip Black people of their humanity.

White people have also been treated 'less than human' as well, so still doesn't answer my question.

15th post

Plenty of whites came to the US as impoverished indentured servants and were forced to work in the mines as slaves. That still has nothing to do with the difference between depicting a black or a white as a monkey, both are human, both are insulted, there is no difference.

If you don’t see a difference, it’s because you’re ignoring the historical context.

Let me ask you something. Suppose a black politician calls a white politician a jerk. White politician calls a black politician the n-word. Both are offensive insults. Are these equal in your eyes? Be honest.

Perhaps Lockback and OhPleaseJustQuit can give their argument why my post was fake news and defend the point I debunked

How is the economy roaring?
