Whites vote as blocks.
I don't listen to white racist opinions on what blacks need to change.
That's not entirely true... whites haven't voted as a block in any national election since our country was founded.
In 2008, 43% of white voters voted for Obama, while 55% voted for McCain.
In 2012, the spread widened to 40% for Obama, 57% for Romney.
A greater percentage of white voters chose a white candidate, but the numbers are so close it can't be stated that whites voted as a 'block' in either election.
Interestingly enough, those numbers are often much wider when both candidates have been white.
Whites have voted in blocks forever. The difference is that both parties deal with issues addressing the various blocks of whites. Other blacks have run for president and did not get the black vote.
If you're saying that whites vote in blocks because they have traditionally voted for white candidates (because white candidates were the only ones available). Couldn't you just as easily say that blacks, Asians, Jews, Hispanics, Lithuanians, and Swedes also vote in blocks for white candidates?
We do not see all this uproar about blocks when we vote for whites.
You are SO obsessed with color.
I AM TALKING ABOUT POLITICS.
STOP.
Okay, let me put it in clear language that you can understand. I was trained as a political scientist at university, so were are going to talk in hypotheticals here.
In the first election cycle, two white candidates run, a republican and a democrat. The white vote goes roughly spit to both. The black vote goes roughly 90/10 to the democrat. This happens, throughout the nations, year after year.
IN the next election cycle, in our dreams, two black candidates run for the same office, again, a republican and a democrat. Again, the white vote is roughly split. This is what decades and decades of political research shows. However, time and time again, do you know what the black vote will be?
You guessed it. 90/10. Again.
Regardless of who is running, what the issues are, etc.
