I am an election worker for a small rural township that has a roll of 268 registered voters. During several of the previous elections, the voter turnout has usually averaged about 150-180 people. I worked the first shift from 7AM until 2 PM, and I was the one registering new voters or voters who had recently moved to the township. By the end of my shift, 175 out of the 268 registered voters had voted, 23 absentee votes had been received, and I had registered 42 new voters. All of the new voters had the proper proofs of residence and identification.

My wife and I went back to the polling place this evening to vote. The total number had grown to 233 voters casting ballots, and there are still 2-1/2 hours before the polls close.

That's quite a turnout.

We live in a little bit of nothin town, and folks are saying we gained about 100 more voters than usual.

:)

Out here, a traffic jam is about 3 cars in front of you at the light.

I reckon my precinct is small, and certainly not full of trophy wives like it used to be.

i live in a small town as well JG

It will be interesting for you to compare the results from 2020 with today. Wow, 42 new voters.

Indications from across the country are reflecting the same trend. We're looking at a possible record turnout this election.

Of course. People are fed up with the last four years of the Trump presidency.
