Questions Surround $100 Million in ‘Fire Aid’ for Los Angeles

It would seem to me that they are just saying that the Non profit organizations would be giving out the money as that is what they do.

Non Profit
Non-profits (NGOs) do well by doing good. Most of their donations go to generous salaries and benefits for their staff.

Their idea of rebuilding is Smart LA 2028.. Seems this fit in nicely with the fully realized plans to rebuild Los Angeles following the devastating fires that, by sheer coincidence, wiped out the exact neighborhoods marked for redevelopment by the WEF.

Sue their assess in a federal court. Many of these donations would have been across state lines, right?
As long as it was a charitable contribution , it is not a problem. People who had fire damage claim did recieve money. It was excess money that was sent to other sources.

Second since most of this money appears to have came from concerts, It really was not a direct contribution by concert goers. They paid to go to a concert.

I do not know if performers were paid or did they just do it for free.

75 % of the money did go to victims of fire.

No, as they hire people experienced in running fund raisers. The group wants to raise money so they hire experienced people who can organize the fund raisers.

Congressman Kevin Kiley (R-CA) is calling on U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to open an investigation into FireAid Funds, saying the money has been misallocated.

So basically the congressman is making waves not the people who organized and hired the fund raiser company.

It seems that the fund raiser was a couple of benefit concerts they held called FireAid

the concert raised supposidly raised 100 million

This is there side of the story

They have been accused of mishandling the money. It just an accusation at this time. Only time will tell if the trial shows that they did something wrong. Innocent until proven guilty does mean that.

No case yet has been set to determine guilt or innocence.
Yeah, they hire very expensive people experienced in fleecing donors by spending most of the donations on fancy parties, overhead and salaries. The victims get pennies on the dollar.

Did they receive anything? I haven’t seem any evidence of that.

Phase 1 Grants

The first round of grants, distributed in February 2025, provided $50 million in immediate relief to more than 120 nonprofit organizations, reaching over 150,000 Angelenos. These grants supported families, displaced homeowners, foster youth, seniors, small business owners, first responders, artists, and others with emergency housing, food assistance, trauma counseling, direct financial relief, childcare, and animal welfare services.

Doners went to a concert, so they got there money worth that was paid.

Phase 2 Grants

In this second phase, FireAid is shifting focus toward long-term recovery and restoring stability, connection and well-being across entire communities. The new $25 million in grants supports initiatives around financial and housing stability, mental health and trauma services for families and individuals, and community infrastructure. Additional funding will also go toward environmental remediation, soil testing, permitting support, and sustainable rebuilding efforts, while educational support helps students regain a sense of normalcy. Aid for small business and displaced workers strengthens the local economy and supports overall recovery efforts.

How terrible

The final phase of grants will be coming by year end. Please share your thoughts on where help is still needed by emailing us at donations@fireaidla.org or apply for a Round 3 grant.

So they even got some feedback from the people for worthy causes.

See above post (45) where it breaks it down with website

People paid to go see a concert and they did.

It seems like performers were not paid and proceeds went towards various charities.

I can only assume that all the money went to the organizers of the charity event. They gave it to multiple charities.

~~~~~~
Depends on the NGO.
If you mean Samaritan's Purse the answer is Yes!. If you're referring to the (SPLC) Southern Poverty Law Center, that's a big No, No.
