Fraud, waste and mismanagement. What a wonderful legacy left by democrats.

The fires did substantial damage while democrat politicians fiddled.

The star-studded bill for the benefit concert, held on two separate stages, raised a massive sum. But many residents of the Pacific Palisades and Malibu (Palisades Fire), and of Altadena and Pasadena (Eaton Fire), say they have not benefited.

There have been two significant local investigations by local news outlets, each of which came to different — though not necessarily contradictory — conclusions about Fire Aid’s money.

The first, by ABC affiliate KABC-7, concluded that the money was being well-spent — on organizations:

Roughly 120 organizations split $50 million when the first round of FireAid funds was released in February. 7 On Your Side tried reaching out to every single one of them, and heard back from more than 50 to find out how the money is being used.

Lots of administration, but not much charity dispensed.
Newsom and Bass want to make The Palisades a 15-minute city.
They're slow-walking permits for rebuilding and everything.
No, no more William Lloyd Wright homes. :nono:
Modern ghetto with embedded surveillance state. That's what they want.

They want to rebuild affordable housing there for illegal aliens.

The con is in the "building" that really isn't building, just stalling for time and money.
And basically screwing off to run out time on purpose.
Like the train to nowhere. Which Newsom just lost, btw. :auiqs.jpg:
Wasn't that supposed to be done by 2020?
How many years ago was that?
When they built 41 and 301 and 19 and 66 and roads like that, they got it done and done right.
Within a decent time schedule.

Their idea of rebuilding is Smart LA 2028.. Seems this fit in nicely with the fully realized plans to rebuild Los Angeles following the devastating fires that, by sheer coincidence, wiped out the exact neighborhoods marked for redevelopment by the WEF.

The obvious solution is to tax Californians more.

I have seen a couple of news articles that said the money went to non-profits and not to those affected by the fire. It seems, from what they reported, that many of the non-profits that got funds had nothing to do with housing or rebuilding.

Was one of the non-profits the Help Illegals Evade ICE Group?

LOL

FireAid, a relief initiative that emerged from a benefit concert, has distributed $75 million in grants to over 120 organizations supporting wildfire relief efforts. The initial round of $50 million was allocated to immediate needs, while a subsequent $25 million focuses on long-term recovery and environmental remediation. Beneficiaries include organizations providing direct assistance to victims, supporting essential services, and aiding in rebuilding efforts

How much of that will go OPEX and how much will actually go to those in need?

SO MANY CHARITIES ARE JUST SCAMS,

LOL

It’s crazy how left wing charities never help anyone.

SO MANY CHARITIES ARE JUST SCAMS,
None will reach them. Once the charity has paid all their overhead they send what’s left to another charity to do the same until it’s all gone.

I understand that like 100 million was raised to help shelter victims of the Palisades fire and now a half year later, hardly no one has gotten help and when called, those running the aid organization cannot be reached and do not return phone calls.

I’m betting they all cashed their checks though.

You've got to hand it to California. They are consistent in their corruption. The $100 million in Fire Aid donations that were promised as going DIRECTLY TO THE VICTIMS instead went to dozens of "non-profits" and so far not a dime has helped a fire victim.

I am not surprised.

However, thread title says “Reamin?” Meaning?

(Edit: ah. Wait. Dreaming’.).

Check. 😂

Sue their assess in a federal court. Many of these donations would have been across state lines, right?
