Greetings
the question is what does it mean to you?
For me personally it means in the final days to depart from the ways that goes against Gods teachings before the final judgment. I don't need to wait fir the final days to do this.

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary
15:1-9 The Lord declares that even Moses and Samuel must have pleaded in vain. The putting of this as a case, though they should stand before him, shows that they do not, and that saints in heaven do not pray for saints on earth. The Jews were condemned to different kinds of misery by the righteous judgment of God, and the remnant would be driven away, like the chaff, into captivity. Then was the populous city made desolate. Bad examples and misused authority often produce fatal effects, even after men are dead, or have repented of their crimes: this should make all greatly dread being the occasion of sin in others.

For me it means God scattered out his people, to in common language learn it the hard way about not living by Gods instructions.

comparing with the verses, I give you, I add this one Revelation 11: 18
1# Revelation 18: 4

not even close, try again

Both Rome and Jerusalem have been called the end time "Babylon" as well as America and the European Union. But is it really a place, or a religion? Or is it a state of mind. "Babylon" literally means "confusion". Not that unbelievers are confused about what they believe, but what they believe leads to confusion.

Revelation 11:8 meaning
And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Rev 11:8 (NKJV)

the great city which great city?
and Sodom and Egypt also our Lord was crucified?

Revelation 18:4
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

The "her" mentioned in this verse refers to Babylon. Spiritual Babylon is the wickedness of the world. See verse 2 of Revelation 18.

“'Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!' She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird,

You have rejected me,” declares the Lord. “You keep on backsliding. So I will reach out and destroy you; I am tired of holding back.

lazy o p.

- seems like they are referring to pub's ...

This is a last day prophecy to help us know how to get back into the Lord's Church in the last days. The Saints will be called out of Babylon unless they refuse to and continue in the sins of Satan's great nation back in the days of Judah through the atonement of Jesus Christ. "Her" refers to the nation of Babylon. "Her" is often used to denote a nation or country. The nation of sin in this context as with Jeremiah as well.
Revelation 18:1 is interesting. It denotes that the world in the last days would be in total apostasy and God would send an angel or a prophet to give back communication between God and mankind. In verse 3 it says "ALL" nations were in apostasy meaning all churches and religions as well. While many teach Christ, they also taught much false doctrine with false authority. The fulness of the Gospel would not be on the earth to bring about true repentance, baptism for the remission of sins and the resurrection into the Celestial glory Paul wrote about.

The chapters also denote that most will not rise out of this apostasy or Babylonian state of religion. Only those who accept this Gospel brought by this angel in the last days will rise out of apostasy into the Church of Jesus Christ in these last days. The rest of the people will remain in confusion about doctrine, commandments, ordinances of the Gospel and authority of God. Only The Church of Jesus Christ will have true doctrine, commandments, ordinances and authority of God.

This means all other churches don't measure up to this revelation and prophecy of the last days. This means that churches like the Catholic Church or Protestant churches that have existed for centuries or millennial time cannot be Christ's true Church. They are false, teach false doctrine, commandments, do unauthorized ordinances such as baptism, gift of the Holy Ghost, the Sacraments and all other things they do in the name of Christ. Are they evil people? No, not necessarily. They are confused which is the definition of Babylon. This angel or prophet can set them straight and get them on the path to Eternal Life. But, they will be rejected by most because of their pride as the prophets in the days of old were rejected as well.

So, has this angel or prophet already come to the earth in these the last days? I believe so. There is but one who claims this with the name of the Lord as the Lord himself said do all things in his name. All things. Naming His Church by his name. His name is Jesus. His position is Christ or Messiah. Thus, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only ones that fit this Revelation. The entire chapter 18 of Revelations. Joseph Smith then is that spirit or angel who descended in these the latter days. Praise to the man who communed with Jesus Christ (Jehovah).

Greetings
the question is what does it mean to you?
It wasn't Israel that was in Babylonian captivity, it was the Jews. When they returned to Judea the Pharisees brought Babylonian heresies with them. They became 'antichrist' by reinterpreting the Holy days to exclude the prophesied savior and denying his divinity. In the latter times the Jews have become powerful merchants and bankers who control $trillion of nearly every currency on earth. With their wealth and power they control or influence economies and governments. Judaism is the 'antichrist' today. No other religion or organization can make this claim. Jerusalem and Tel Aviv are among the most corrupt cities on earth, rightly called Babylon by John.

Does stupidity run in your family? You are correct about Judah being taken away to Babylonia. The Northern Kingdom which is known as Israel that was carried away and lost, the ten tribes of Israel, happened over a 100 years prior. Your error is that when Judah returned to Jerusalem and the Southern Kingdom with half of the tribe of Benjamin, that they were wicked. No, they had prophets as well. And, they had Ezra and Nehemiah as well. Those two made sure that only those who could prove their priesthood through genealogy could be counted as Judah-Benjamin. In Zechariah, the vision of Jesus returning to Judah in the land of Israel, at the Mt. of Olives, Jesus says, this is where I was wounded in the HOUSE OF MY FRIENDS. Jesus isn't going to condemn the Jews when he returns. He will cause the armies from the North and probably all around Israel to surrender or be wiped off the earth. That's biblical prophecy. So, they are not the anti-Christ today. They very much want and need our help as Christians. If you are going to go off on tangents like you did, then when Jesus comes again attacking the Jews today, you will be hiding like Adam and Eve did when they transgressed the commandments. I would not want to be in your shoes. Repent and be baptized with one who has authority because you are way off base.
