If Republicans could undo one policy, to take it back, what would it be?

To me, the big three are:

1. The fiasco in Iraq. 3 trillion spent. Trillions more into the future taking care of the tens of young Americans thousands maimed for life. Depleting our military. Turning Iraq into a friend of Iran. Destabilizing the Middle East.

2. Blocking the Obama administration from investigating BP after the oil "spill".

3. The Bush tax cuts which created trillions in deficit and redistributed the wealth of the nation to the top 1%.

The other disasters are much smaller. After Katrina, deregulating the economy, voter suppression, helping move millions of jobs to China and closing tens of thousands of factories here, paying for wars with credit cards and so on.

So if Republicans could take one back or do it completely different, which one would it be and how would you do it different?

Extending bail outs to auto makers. Those fuckers and their union tics should have gone straight to bankruptcy.

The Bush tax cuts which created trillions in deficit and redistributed the wealth of the nation to the top 1%.

It would be one thing if this was true but its not.

Question for the OP what tax bracket enjoyed the largest tax cut in 2003

Obamacare.

You never said it was a Republican policy we needed to take back

the title of the thread reads

Another one of those "gotcha" open ended questions republicans have such a hard time with huh?

Thats right. It does NOT say "had one republican policy they could "take back" does it?

Do try to apply comprehension in reading. It will take you further.

why bother answering

we know the Op wouldn't take back anything the Democrat party voted for so why play his games

Nominating poor candidates. Candidates who either appeal only to the most rabid of the Conservative base or candidates who are wholly incompetent (e.g. Sarah Palin or Christine O'Donnell)

Perhaps if the Republicans could find an inspiring messenger, their plight might be more comfortable.

Reagan's immigration Amnesty was one huge clusterfuck. That should never have happened and we should have deported those millions of law breakers instead.

That one policy reversal would have sent a very clear message to future prospective criminals to not come to the US. This would have reduced income inequality, thus making liberals happy and it would have reduced the social welfare state, thus making conservatives happy.
