In making a cake, mixing the ingredients makes a "batter" that can be later used to make a cake.

In making a human being, the ingredients (sperm and egg) are mixed, and as soon as that "takes," we already have a new human being/ organism.

I don't see why anyone should have the right to dictate how another person chooses , wanted or not , to run their lives. Not all abortions are wanted. Want to sit in judgment on everyone . I support a woman's right to choose. No judgment should be involved. It's counterproductive to life on this planet. I ' ve heard anti-abortion people saying if they knew they were carrying a gay child they would have an abortion. And of course anyone who has an abortion is a sinner , it's all their own fault and be of all ( another judgment ) they are all sluts . Why would you want a slut bringing a child into this beleaguered world. There's enough sadness already. Think for a change. Most of what you believe is NOT pro life.
