Question For Lefties, What Is Abortion?

Ethics are constant and not subject to people's whims and hatreds ACCORDING TO YOU.

The statement that ethics are constant and not subject to whims and hatreds is a foundational principle of moral realism. It is, however, a topic of extensive philosophical debate. While many find comfort in the idea of stable moral truths, subjectivists and cultural relativists offer strong challenges by arguing that morality is rooted in individual feelings, cultural conventions, or is not based on facts at all. There is no simple resolution, and the question of whether ethics is constant or variable remains a core inquiry in philosophy
After reading some of these comments, I was giving it some thought before I might respond.

Then, this popped up in my newsfeed on X

And I look at these images a few too many times and read the post and your observations again ( couple of times.) And I'm at a loss for words.

And they justify this by their religious morals.

I look at these acts with horror and sadness, not because they are so unbelievable, but because they are so common throughout man's sorry history. I'm sure the perpetrators consider themselves moral and ethical and had no other options but to do what they did. :(

People that have morals that conflicted do.not entertain or even understand what ethics are.

Please explain.
Ethics require an open mind to be entertained. Extremism like that doesn't even allow them to comprehend what ethics mean. They Bock it out. You made the comparison of Jefferson. Not the same thing an enlightened man probably just compartmentalized his mind to live with the situation
Much as men who cheat on their wives do.

As it applies to this thread, I feel exactly the same way about abortions and the way the majority of society allows it to be tolerated.

As for the link I shared, I can find multiple examples of members of almost every religion killing, enslaving, and doing horrible things to others. I can find even more acts of inhumanity done by Atheists.

Where it all goes from here is anyone's guess. 'Doing better' will never undo history.

In fact, nothing will.

Sure what acts by atheists?

Did we ever have multiple crusades?

Still not your choice

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

EDIT TO ASK: "Do we (pro-life and other Anti-Abortion citizens) have the right to speak, assemble and to petition the government for a redress of our grievances?"

Yes or no?
