Only ever have order by way of fear. If a child fears being paddled, they behave. Remove the paddle and you remove the fear.

The SROs make the schools more safe. Trust me when you're in a room and are face to face with several gang members who could be packing at any given moment, a police presence on campus is a positive concept.

PS: Many of those gangsters are actually the most respectful students (at least to teachers).
