Assad thanked Putin in return and stressed Syria will continue to fight terrorism and work for reconciliation and a political solution.

Putin phones Assad: Russia committed to fight terrorism

Unlike all other world "leaders" Putin understands: if you don't destroy ISIS now and in its nest, those snakes will spread all over the world and it will be a lot more difficult to find them and to get rid of them.

Since Putin started bombing ISIS in Syria last year (Sept,30), 35 thousands of terrorists have been killed (27 hundreds of Russian and post-Soviet states citizens among them), over 12 thousand square kilometers of Syrian territory has been deliberated from terrorists (over 700 towns and villages).

Assad: Russia wanted to fight terrorism for different reasons, not only for Syria, not only for Russia, for the rest of the region, for Europe, for the rest of the world. They understand what the meaning of terrorism prevailing, in a certain way, while the United States have always, since Afghanistan in the early eighties, till this day, they think "terrorism is a card we can play. We can put on the table."

Good news! Putin will stay the course until ISIS is eradicated.
