Remember when the whole convoy was stalled out because of breakdowns during the initial invasion? This is likely something else that has caused the entire force to stall out.

The whole world is suffering from supply chain issues. Russia is not immune to these problems. And the sanctions are only going to make it worse.

The tooth to tail of the Russian army is not immune to resupply problems. They might go out with everything they expect to use to the battlefront but every plan ever made for battles never survived the first skirmish.

And if they have been using the tails as teeth...they can run out of mechanics and medics in a hurry. Those MIGs don't operate without a hefty amount of servicing and many are getting to the point of needing to be retired from the number of hours in service.

Complete replacement is more appropriate.

I suspect he is going to try some variation of a blitz now that morale is up and they have a victory while Ukrainian forces are exhausted, pulling back, and still underequipped and undersized for the long haul. As for holding cities, IDK. My general impression is that a lot of people have fled them, they are heavily damaged, and Ukraine forces seem to not be capable or willing to go on the offensive and roll around the Russian forces to fight in the rear of their lines.

It is a typical Russian tactic. Bomb cities into rubble, including the residential areas, and terrorize the citizenry. Then their foreign minister gets on TV and denies that are bombing residential areas. Lies and misinformation seem to be the 21st century choice of autocrats.

This was a Ukrainian Tochka-U missile. The explosions lasted 12 hours and continued intermittently for several more.
