Previously, everyone thought that he was an agent of the KGB (FSB). Maybe it was, but now there is a situation where the FSB have become direct enemies of Putin. They openly oppose Putin and the Ministry of Defense, in favor of the Belarusian dictator and his Terrorists.
This is a split in power. But I think that the KGB without the support of the United States will not achieve anything now, this is a bluff. In an open rebellion, they cannot oppose anything to the federals; forceful methods against a huge army and law enforcement agencies are useless. The generals sided with Putin. FSB end.
