How badly does it suck to be Obama today? He switched sides in the WOT to support AQ, Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS and Islamic Jihad and for a while, his Jihadists brother controlled vast swatches of the ME from Syria to Baghdad. Iraq, which was once safe enough to have a civil society under US guidance was thrown over to Obama's Jihadists as soon as US troops withdrew.

Obama put up a pretend fight against "ISIL" killing only the leaders who refused to pledge their loyalty to Val Jarrett and he did manage to bomb a hospital in the process.

A short while ago, sensing the leadership vacuum left as the US turned the ME over to the terrorists, Putin and the Russians stepped in strongly to take the fight to ISIS. This upset Obama, because since Benghazi, Obama has been arming the Jihadists, but Obama is stuck because he can't publicly admit he switched sides.

Russian firepower has been so overwhelming and effective that they've now caused Obama's ISIS fighters to cut off their beards and withdraw from the fight.

"But you can’t intimidate a modern fighter jet by waving around a sword and if you’re a newbie on the Mid-East militant scene, you can’t scare a three decade veteran by beheading a couple of people, which is why if you’re ISIS, the combination of the Russian Air Force and Hezbollah ground troops is absolutely terrifying.

As we documented earlier today, Hezbollah and Iranian troops are advancing on Aleppo and Moscow is backing the offensive from the sky which means that the hodgepodge of anti-regime forces that control Syria’s largest city will almost (and we say "almost" because there are no sure things in war) certainly be routed in a matter of weeks if not days, which would effectively serve to restore the Assad regime in Syria.

After that, the Russian bear and Qasem Soleimani will turn their eyes to the East of the country and at that point, it is game over for ISIS.

Apparently all of the above isn’t completely lost on al-Nusra and Islamic State fighters because if you believe the Russian media (and we’re not saying you should), Sunni extremists are now shaving off their beards and running for their lives"

Rise in ISIS attacks world-wide...

Report Finds Spike in Global IS Attacks
October 22, 2015 - Worldwide attacks by the Islamic State group spiked more than 40 percent per day in the third quarter, according to a new report by the IHS Jane's global defense publication.
The study, released Thursday, recorded 1,086 Islamic State attacks globally between July and September. That comes out to nearly 12 attacks per day, a 42 percent increase from the previous quarter. The report covered activity within countries where Islamic State claims territory, including not only its main heartland in Syria and Iraq, but also Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, the North Caucasus and Algeria. Several localized Islamist extremist groups in those countries, such as Boko Haram in Nigeria, have claimed allegiance to the Islamic State group, though it is not clear how close the organizations are coordinating with IS' leadership core.

Targeted airstrikes

Islamic State extremists in Syria and Iraq have been the target of months of airstrikes by a U.S.-led coalition and, to a lesser extent, by a separate Russian campaign of bombing raids that recently began. Although the report raises questions about whether those airstrikes are having any significant effect on the Islamic State, it does suggest the group's territorial expansion is being slowed. Over the past three months, IS saw "very little in the way of nominal territorial expansion," according to IHS Jane's. Instead, the group "maintained its strategy of expanding and consolidating local territorial control within its existing structure of provinces," it said.

ISIS threatens Russia...

ISIS warns Russia, says 'blood will spill like an ocean'
Nov 13, 2015 - The Isis militant group has released a new video threatening to launch attacks in Russia "very soon".
Issued by the group's foreign language propaganda wing, the al-Hayat Media Centre, the video combined footage of the Charlie Hebdo shootings and graphic depictions of executions with a threat that "soon, very soon, the blood will spill like an ocean". It was issued on Thursday afternoon in an apparent bid to distract international attention from the significant losses it was suffering on the battlefield in Iraq. Subtitles on the video described Russia as "dying". "The kafir throats will tremble from the knives. The Kremlin will be ours," it said.

Isis has emerged as the prime suspect in the bombing of a Russian passenger airliner which crashed in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula on 31 October, killing all 224 people on board. And Russian officials also suspect Isis was planning to bomb the village of Kantyshevo, south-west Russia, in a plot which was uncovered last week by special forces. Isis has previously called for attacks on Russia and the US in response to coalition air strikes on its fighters in Syria and Iraq. On Wednesday night, US-led coalition fighter jets provided air support to around 7,500 Kurdish and Yazidi fighters launching a major offensive to retake the key town of Sinjar.

As of Thursday afternoon, Kurdish military officials said they had captured three villages outside the town and seized portions of Highway 47, cutting off a major supply route between Isis's strongholds of Mosul in Iraq and Raqqa in Syria. "The ground assault began in the early morning hours of Nov. 12, when peshmerga units successfully established blocking positions along Highway 47 and began clearing Sinjar," said the coalition in a statement. "The peshmerga will continue operations to re-establish government control over key portions of the areas."

Syrian troops break siege imposed by ISIS on base since 2013
Nov 10, 2015: Syrian government forces on Tuesday broke a siege imposed by the Islamic State group on a northern military air base since 2013, marking the first major achievement by President Bashar Assad's troops since Russia began its airstrikes in late September, state media said.
A state TV report said government forces have met with troops that were defending the Kweiras air base in the northern province of Aleppo. Syrian troops, backed by pro-government gunmen, launched a large-scale offensive to reach the base last month under the cover of Russian airstrikes. IS has been besieging the base since 2013 when they defeated rival militant groups who had already been surrounding the base for a year. "We are inside the air base," a Syrian soldier that took part in the offensive told state TV Tuesday evening. "We have met our friends and the situation is good."

Tuesday's push is a major victory for the government against ISIS — which controls nearly half of Syria. Syrian troops tried in the past to reach the air base with no luck but Russian airstrikes appear to have helped in forcing IS from the area. IS fighters had been besieging the nearly 1,000 soldiers inside the base since 2013, but the forces there have managed to hold on despite repeated attacks using multiple suicide bombings. Another officer speaking from the base told state TV ``with the liberation of Kweiras, we will liberate other areas.'' The forces held on to the base for two years, apparently knowing that their fate would be death if they were captured.

Last year, IS killed more than 160 Syrian government troops seized in a military base in the northern province of Raqqa. In a video released at the time, dozens of terrified young conscripts were made to run while stripped down to their underwear before being killed. Earlier Tuesday, militants shelled the coastal Syrian city of Latakia, killing at least 16 and wounding 53, state media reported, in one of the deadliest attacks on the government stronghold in recent months. State news agency SANA said the shells were fired by militants affiliated with al-Qaida's branch in Syria, known as the Nusra Front, and the ultraconservative Ahrar al-Sham group.

Syrian state TV said two shells hit an area near Tishrin University on Tuesday afternoon. TV footage showed at least one car on fire and several others, including a minibus, hit with shrapnel. Blood could be seen on the road. Latakia has been spared the worst of Syria's civil war but has recently been shelled on several occasions. The latest shelling came during an offensive by government forces in the mountains near the city under the cover of Russian airstrikes. Russian warplanes have been taking off from a military air base south of Latakia since September 30, carrying out strikes around Syria. Also Tuesday, residents in Syria's capital Damascus said rebels shelled several neighborhoods in the city. SANA said the shelling killed one person and wounded five.

"They Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) are continuing operations in the province of Latakia. On Mar.20, the Syrian forces repelled al-Nusra attempts to capture the village of al-Soucha. Since the partly departure of Russian forces from Syria, al Nusra militants have been attempting to restore their control on Jabal al-Qal’ah. However, all their attempts have failed. Meanwhile, Syrian troops took control of the Points 287, 397 and 409 in the province’s northern part and killed militants infiltrated al-Sawda village."
