I think the story of the Tower of Babel gives the best insight into God's view of language.

You could say that about the entire Bible or any holy text. I'm not expecting you to personally believe that it is God's word, but we're discussing things in the context of how a Christian would understand things.

Obviously, an atheist would view this in different terms.
