That's my point. If your first instinct is to attack someone, it's not for distrust or disagreement, it's fear. What happens when one's fears are assuaged? Relief, celebration, joy. It's basic psychology.

You can glean much from how someone reacts to a situation like this. Either with empathy, or in your case, hatred. And most hatred I see is spawned from a specific fear, not rooted in any factual disagreements.
