Trump was trying to drain the swamp the entire time he was in office. Hunter and Joe were certainly corrupt, but since he didn't have any power after he left office(yet) pursuing him had to be put on the back burner to chase the other crooks. Once it looked that Biden could potentially be a threat again, he started looking into the corruption, and nitwit Democrats went bonkers. All of this between fighting the never-ending witch hunts by the crooked Democrats who were running cover for their own indiscretions.
