And you refuse to think Putin controlling Trump building Trump Tower Moscow didn't put Trump squarely in Putin's pocket?
There is no Trump Tower Moscow, and if you expect to bribe Putin with a penthouse apartment, it better be worth at least a billion dollars.
If you think a free penthouse would influence Putin, you really don't get how wealthy he is.
It was a branding deal that was abandoned after the dem emails were hacked and dems rediscovered their inner cold-warriors. When the Trump org began looking at the idea in 2013, Russia was not under any sanctions or even criticism from the Obama administration. Obama had promised to have "more flexibility" with Putin a just few months earlier.

The Mueller report made clear that its obstruction of justice inquiry focused on President Trump’s conduct toward law enforcement officials overseeing investigations into the Trump-Russia allegations. The report provided the blueprint for a potential indictment for obstruction.
Indeed, it was over 1,000 former prosecutors who reached the conclusion that “the conduct of President Trump described in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report would, in the case of any other person not covered by the Office of Legal Counsel policy against indicting a sitting President, result in multiple felony charges for obstruction of justice.”
In other words, inferences. For every instance where they could interpret obstruction, there is an explanation that does not involve obstruction.
"Because we determined not to make a traditional prosecutorial judgment, we did not draw ultimate conclusions about the President’s conduct. The evidence we obtained about the President’s actions and intent presents difficult issues that would need to be resolved if we were making a traditional prosecutorial judgment. At the same time, if we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, we are unable to reach that judgment. Accordingly, while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him."
That volume was written by Andrew Weismann, who is a total sleazebag and guilty of prosecutorial misconduct himself. Mueller was a figurehead, he had no part of the actual probe. In his testimony, he was almost as out of it as Biden. He said he didn't even know who Fusion GPS was. Was that "a thorough investigation" when you haven't even examined the source of the allegations you are supposed to be investigating?
And there is really nothing to obstruct when the investgation is based on a fraudulent narrative to begin with...
