I'm the first to admit that I don't really understand politics, but I don't think Biden was ever considered "bold" or "inspiring". The people who voted for him just wanted something as far from the former guy as possible. Bland and normal and sane and decent was pretty much the target.

The hardcore left wing annoys enough people without threatening to throw a left wing version of Trump at us. Uh, if there IS such a thing.
