Princess Jasmine Is Officially Gone

Someone would find a way to skew it.

If there is to be gerrymandering, better it to be out in the open where all can see, AND better for it to be equally done by both sides.
Of course if democrats write the program they will try to cheat

But it should be open source and subject to review by the other side

Also, the method is left to the State legislatures.
And a whole bunch of precise computers and A/I to give the legislature majority, just what they want....determining who will represent the people instead of the people, choosing who will represent them.

Huh, that must have been what MA did to disenfranchise the 36.2% of the gop voters there.

All I see is that the dems don't like it when the shoe is on the other foot....At least CA has a few gop seats in the House, soon to be gone.

All gerrymandering in both Democratic and Republican states seems to fly in the face of, the citizens picking their leaders that govern through a free and fair election, vs the govt leaders in power carving out convoluted districts made up of the citizens they chose... who they know, will vote for them.

That's what I keep pointing out. Elections are becoming nothing more than an illusion at this point. The result is already decided. Why bother voting at all?

That's why all off-year and special elections (except primaries) should be done away with....Follow the national cycle.

If you don't want to vote for some national politician then fine (I don't vote for my congress critter) but at least there would be more people voting in the local elections held then.

How's that? Trump lost 6 out of the seven swing states in 2020 and won 7/7 in 2024.

The major reason this is massive in concern is that under the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution the founding fathers warned us about taxation.

The Supreme Court has decided that the redistricting in Texas is legal and now Jasmine Crockett is officially gone from congress.

Good. She's free to hightail it back to the ghetto from whence she slithered.

She is legally entitled to continue until jan 2027. Why do you post such stupid bullshit all the time? Do you have any shame at all?
Article 1 section 2 of the COTUS states
  • Clause 2 Qualifications
  • No Person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the Age of twenty five Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen.
Lots of misinformation floating around about Crockett's seat. It is very confusing, but yes it looks like she has been "redrawn" into a different district than the one she currently represents so unfortunately she stays in Congress until her term ends. Sounds like she's going for a Senate seat.

She'll stick out more in a room of 50.

No kidding! And it ain't good! And no way our founders of the constitution agree, at all, to the gerrymandering redistricting crap that is being done by both democrats and republicans.

And the 2019 SC ruling that this crap is all okay because the founders in the 1770s did not right specifically in to the constitution that you could not use computer programs to precisely cut out districts to keep incumbents in power and any opposition party from ever holding power, is utterly ridiculous....and that's the gist of what the SC ruled.

They didn't believe in universal franchise, so I have a feeling they would be OK with something like this.

No, what they said is it was a political question, not a question of law.
