Defying California bureaucrats, President Trump ordered the US Army Corps of Engineers to release 5.2 billion gallons of water being held behind two dams, down a river channel toward farmlands in the San Joaquin Valley. This came after he vowed during a visit to Los Angeles last week to “open up the valves and pumps” in California to deliver more water.

More promises made, promises kept.

Acting on Trump’s order, federal officials opened up two California dams​

"The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has dramatically increased the amount of water flowing from two dams in Tulare County, sending massive flows down a river channel toward farmlands in the San Joaquin Valley.

Federal records show that water releases from Terminus Dam at Lake Kaweah and Schafer Dam at Lake Success jumped early Friday morning.

That was four days after President Trump said on social media that the U.S. military had “entered” California and “TURNED ON THE WATER.” Trump also vowed during a visit to Los Angeles last week to “open up the valves and pumps” in California to deliver more water."

If Trump opened dams to save California from the wild fires, and the dams Trump opened didn't save the state from wildfires, but instead send the water to Central California when they're recovering from floods, instead of the coast where the fires are, then logically, Trump opened the wrong dams to help California.

And who is "they?" Is it anyone except the Biden Administration? Of course not. Who could have turned it on already, as soon as the fires started? The BIden Administration at the request of Governor Newsom, if either one of those had a lick of sense. It is insane that they did not beg for this as soon as Trump took office.

Here, I'll fault Trump for waiting. He probably hoped that Newsom would grow up, and call him to ask what the federal government could do. Trump learns and from this he can learn that the California Democrats are nothing more than children, given far more power than a child an understand, much less weild wisely.
