President Trump orders Army Corps of Engineers to open California dams and release the water

Defying California bureaucrats, President Trump ordered the US Army Corps of Engineers to release 5.2 billion gallons of water being held behind two dams, down a river channel toward farmlands in the San Joaquin Valley. This came after he vowed during a visit to Los Angeles last week to “open up the valves and pumps” in California to deliver more water.

More promises made, promises kept.

Acting on Trump’s order, federal officials opened up two California dams

"The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has dramatically increased the amount of water flowing from two dams in Tulare County, sending massive flows down a river channel toward farmlands in the San Joaquin Valley.

Federal records show that water releases from Terminus Dam at Lake Kaweah and Schafer Dam at Lake Success jumped early Friday morning.

That was four days after President Trump said on social media that the U.S. military had “entered” California and “TURNED ON THE WATER.” Trump also vowed during a visit to Los Angeles last week to “open up the valves and pumps” in California to deliver more water."

Once again, this great man gets things done. Trump bypassed the environmentalist whackos to take control of the fire situation.

The reservoirs were under maintenance Trump did nothing more than what was already going to happen.

This is a lie.

A very typical Trump sort of lie.

Patting himself on the back for something he had nothing to do with, made little difference.

but Trump knows that his no nothing fans will buy the BS without question.

As you did.

The damn fires are STILL burning & it STILL took Trump to order the corps of engineers to do it?

HOLY F***! Arrest newsom!

The Corp of Engi ers restarted the pumps once the scheduled maintenance was done.

Trump jumped out in front and pretended he hasd something to do with it.

if intensive infrastructure was part of the California government policies, your statement is moot. Wasting money on boondoggles and sanctifying homelessness and illegals as a paid right to whatever they want is a disgrace.

The great man took control of the situation and saved lives over howling leftwing objections

The petty little troll claimed credit for something he had nothing to do with. Very typical of Trump.

You have no clue what maintenance is so what evah..

California has “intensive infrastructure”. Your point makes no sense.

Trump lied again, and took credit for something he had nothing to do with, as he often does. Making it about himself and trying to present himself as all knowing, all seeing, to people simple orcdu,b enough to buy it.

Over the years, California was taken over by extremists. Using the wealth for their agendas. The mag lev white elephant train agenda is costing 130 billion dollars so far. Using those resources to upgrade, roads, bridges and conventional trains along with anything energy, water and forest management would be what a responsible government would do.

And why is this a good thing?

And why is this a good thing?
If that is to me on roads, bridges, energy and water it is to give people a more comfortable lifestyle in all areas while we encroach on nature. The "mag lev" train will never achieve maximum efficiency as the route is a jigsaw puzzle. New conventional trains can replace on what is built already and even part of it converted to a road system. Saving 30 minutes or a little more for the price is not impressive.

This is a thread about releasing water from reservoirs. Not about trains.

Why is releasing the water now a good thing?

That is Trump. There was a system of reservoirs from the North cancelled and dismantled over the years. There is a lot of things to lead to what he stated. You are guilting Trump for the moronic actions of powerful people who control California and thing heir shit does not stink. There are families who have massive or some power in many states and cities. Newsome's family is one with a few others in California. Consider them like Dukes and Duchesses of areas in old England. Our whole nation in many areas is like that. Even the weaker power people have some say. They "wet their beak" like in Godfather 2.

LOL, he doesn't make sense most of the time. The elevator doesn't go all the way to the top, otherwise the butter slipped off his noodle.

Again. How is releasing the water helping?

If you have evidence that resources are being diverted to this project, you’re welcome to present it.

it’s a deflection, of course. you attacked the state over something the state did not manage. And now you’re trying to cover your false claim by making stuff up about an irrelevant program.
