Right now, the new Trump Admin is just going after Probationaries (Probies) and Bad Apples (bad performance reviews).

The REAL fun starts after the Low-Hanging-Fruit Purges ( Boomer-BuyOut, Probies, Bad Apples ) have concluded.

Each agency had its own list of Exempted Positions ( doctors, nurses, security, etc. ) that won't be touched anytime soon.

Those lists of Exempted Positions themselves will be pared-back but the most critical slots will remain staffed in most cases.

Trying to prune The Beast is gonna be painful and mistakes are going to be made, but...

Federal spending has gotten completely out-of-control and the Cure is going to be painful...

It's time to "take the pain" as bravely and quickly as possible in order to put runaway spending in the rear view mirror.
