Prediction, Hegseth doesn't make it to the confirmation process.....if there is one.

Prediction.

OP WILL NEVER OFFER AN ALTERNATIVE NOMINEE AND WILL NEVER ACCEPT A TRUMP NOMINEE.

It's also an abuse of the constitutional provision which was never meant to allow the prez to bypass the confirmation process en masse, with the cooperation of a compliant Congress, because his nominees are unqualified.
A major majority of Americans voted for President Trump and his policies. There is an absolute mandate for him to do what he is doing. Wether your ever shrinking low information cult likes it or not. Pointlessly holding up Presidential nominees is an abuse of power.

A plurality voted for trump. Polls indicate most of his positions are not supported by a majority of Americans.

Really? List those positions. Abortion and possibly deporting illegals, depending on how the question is worded.

No, the majority of people agree with this policies, even the idiots who didn’t vote for him because “orange man bad”. Case in point, Mac1958

I know that's what you think. I can't help you, and I'm done trying.

Enjoy.

The guy on the left, pretending to be a woman, was highly qualified for the job he was picked for.
If so, then maybe they need to stop looking for qualified applicants on paper and get people who can actually do the job adequately.

There is no perfect society. In the zero-sum game which Progressives subscribe to, the trans issue is expensive to the consumers and taxpayers. So other groups in the game lose out. The costs cause more suffering for others. Infants and children in pain and dying.

New Yorker....The tear sheet of the LoFo moonbat snob set.

Apparently, they didn't get the memo that nobody is buying their bullshit anymore.

Trump no nothings never did. It would require actual reading, which is a challenge for the Fox Noise crowd.

And credible journalism is frowned upon by the Trump mob, and not practiced at all by their trashy disinformation plagued, openly partisan media.

What?

Hegseth meets neither criteria.

Your beloved fuhrer probably saw him doing his misogynist bit on Fox Noise and decided he was the man.

Unqualified, no experience besides talking on a cable network that lies to its audience as a matter of policy, and no record of ever having had more than minimal responsibility.

Trump likes people with no qualifications. he has a long history of hiring people totally unqualified for their positions. he did it in his business as well. He wants yes men, not can do men.

As his first term proved, making noise and puting on a show, are the real priorities.

Pete Hegseth’s Secret History

Hegseth’s record before becoming a full-time Fox News TV host, in 2017, raises additional questions about his suitability to run the world’s largest and most lethal military force. A trail of documents, corroborated by the accounts of former colleagues, indicates that Hegseth was forced to step down by both of the two nonprofit advocacy groups that he ran—Veterans for Freedom and Concerned Veterans for America—in the face of serious allegations of financial mismanagement, sexual impropriety, and personal misconduct.

A previously undisclosed whistle-blower report on Hegseth’s tenure as the president of Concerned Veterans for America, from 2013 until 2016, describes him as being repeatedly intoxicated while acting in his official capacity—to the point of needing to be carried out of the organization’s events. The detailed seven-page report—which was compiled by multiple former C.V.A. employees and sent to the organization’s senior management in February, 2015—states that, at one point, Hegseth had to be restrained while drunk from joining the dancers on the stage of a Louisiana strip club, where he had brought his team. The report also says that Hegseth, who was married at the time, and other members of his management team sexually pursued the organization’s female staffers, whom they divided into two groups—the “party girls” and the “not party girls.” In addition, the report asserts that, under Hegseth’s leadership, the organization became a hostile workplace that ignored serious accusations of impropriety, including an allegation made by a female employee that another employee on Hegseth’s staff had attempted to sexually assault her at the Louisiana strip club. In a separate letter of complaint, which was sent to the organization in late 2015, a different former employee described Hegseth being at a bar in the early-morning hours of May 29, 2015, while on an official tour through Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, drunkenly chanting “Kill All Muslims! Kill All Muslims!”

In response to questions from this magazine, Tim Parlatore, a lawyer for Hegseth, replied with the following statement, which he said came from “an advisor” to Hegseth: “We’re not going to comment on outlandish claims laundered through The New Yorker by a petty and jealous disgruntled former associate of Mr. Hegseth’s. Get back to us when you try your first attempt at actual journalism.”

When taken in combination with the e-mail Pete's mom sent him, calling him out for his lack of character, is this the hill trump wants to die on.

If I'm Hegseth, I don't think I want to sit thru confirmation hearings answering questions about public drunkenness and sexual misconduct. Not to mention being replaced from leadership positions far, far less consequential than DoD.
Republicans are held to a higher standard than Democrats, so you may be right about his chances for confirmation.

My guess is that Trump has somebody in mind for this role who will drive the woke out of the military. As with his choice for AG he is offering a sacrificial lamb to be followed with his real nominee.

If Pam Bondi had been offered as the first choice for Attorney General, she would have been trash just as hard as Matt Gates was. But if the Democrats try that, it will be obvious that they just don’t want Trump to have any say in his cabinet.
It's been reported Team trump was surprised when it learned about the rape allegation. Hegseth's, not trump's. I imagine this too comes as unwelcome news they weren't aware of. Does Baby Donald dig in? Does Pete ask to be dismissed? I can't see this nomination going anywhere but away. Then again, Schlitz Kavanaugh sits on the SC bench so.............
Nothing angers Democrats more than the fact that unfounded allegations cannot be used to ruin a person‘s life.

She would have been trashed. After all, she accepted a substantial campaign contribution from Trump and made his Florida Trump U investigation go away.

Gaetz was the most hated man in Washington, and for good reason. he personally led the effort to sabatoge the GOP Congress.

“Republicans are held to a higher standard than Democrats, so you may be right about his chances for confirmation.‘

There isn’t any evidence of that.

Your real problem is pretending that this collection of yes men, bad men, nobodies who kiss the ring, and right wing tv pundits is serious.

Trump no,inmates clowns and yes men, with little or no real experience, and you whine thst the GOP is held to higher standards? Ah the hypocracy!

Trump backed a child molester for the US Senate, and he backed a drug-addicted, sex-trafficking pedophile to be our nation's top cop.

So I wouldn't write off this drunken sex fiend off just yet, even though Trump's previous gambits on perverts didn't pay off.

Exactly the kind of snotty, self-important snobbery that put you assclowns in the place where next to nobody believes you anymore.....Outstanding job.

Glad she was able to stop a politically motivated investigation.
Gaetz was the most hated man in Washington, and for good reason. he personally led the effort to sabatoge the GOP Congress.
How did he do that?

There is but you ignore it.

Your real problem is pretending that this collection of yes men, bad men, nobodies who kiss the ring, and right wing tv pundits is serious.
Not my problem. They will seem very serious once they start exercising the powers Trump delegates to them to carry out the wishes of the electorate.

Bondi was AG of Florida. No real experience?

At least Hegseth has the credible, marginally reasonable excuse that he was dealing with PTSD from being in The Shit....Neither of which can be said for those two harpies.
He was commissioned as an infantry officer in the Minnesota National Guard. Not exactly the sandbox.

Nobody likes you...Time to fuck off.

Sorry, but the serious business of governing the world’s most powerful nation should not be left to defective crooked real estate developers, and it’s senior ranks should not be filled with clowns and unqualified yes men.

But that’s what you get when you don’t care about facts, and only care about being entertained.

You nation’s future should not depend on people who think this is a reality tV show. But, for the time being, it does.

The only “success’ that can come from that is that the mob of morons who love the clown show will hold sway for the time being.

it is NOT a formula for success.

But it is a reflection of decadence, and a sure path to failure and inconsequence.

And people like you are leading the charge.

That is your opinion and you're entitled to it. But please link to anything that gives you an inside knowledge to know what the constitution "meant" beyond what it says. Democrats agree with laws that further their agenda and anything else is considered beyond the scope of what was "meant." The constitution is doing exactly what it was meant to do.
